I just had to express how much I love the Disney World recipes. I have been browsing the ones on All Ears, and the ones I've tried so far are great. They are:

-Pot Roast from 50s Prime Time
-Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe
-Cornbread from Whispering Canyon Cafe
-Cream cheese mashed potatoes from Le Cellier

All of these have come out so great, and DH has been very happy with them too! My kids had fun eating "Disney cornbread" and we all enjoyed the tonga toast when I made it for breakfast on Father's Day to surprise DH. I made the cream cheese mashed potatoes with dinner tonight...we had grilled beef tenderloin! I made the pot roast months ago.

The next thing I want to make is the Boardwalk Bakery brownies. But I am waiting for an event to bring them to at someone's house...I know I will eat them all if I make them and keep them in my house!

Anyone else try and love the Disney recipes? Any in particular you recommend?

I'm no cook but my friend has made some of the soups from Boma and they were fantastic.:thumbsup2

I have the book DELICIOUS DISNEY but haven't tried one out yet. I just today got MASTERING THE ART OF FRENCH COOKING with julia child. I am so proud to have the latter. Although I prob will never use Julia Child's I love to read the book. I will try however the DD cookbook just have to have a notion. Right now all I can think about is my vacation to the world in five weeks.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I have made the Cheddar Cheese Soup from LeCellier many times. My family loves it.

I have made Pooh Puffed French Toast from CP, Honey Sesame Chicken from Nine Dragons restaurant in Epcot, Chicken Picatta (don't remember what that is from) and numerous others. Their cookbooks are amazing! and AllEars too

Yum! I think you sold me on some new recipes. I haven't been to as many restaurants as I want, so it's great to be able to whip up some of their signature items. I just made the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake from LTT yesterday and it's so good!

Le Cellier cheese soup and the 'ohana honey-lime dressing

Made the Flying Fish's Halibut with Fregole and Chorizo on Sunday, My plan is to make a Disney recipe every weekend until we go to the food and wine the second week in October. :thumbsup2

The honey sesame chicken from Nine Dragons is easy to make and so good! The Artist Point Berry Cobbler is another of my favorite recipes. I also like making 'Ohana's salad dressing--but it makes a ton!

I went to the page and same thing--couldn't get to anything. Then I read it --It says INDEX PAGE. So I scrolled a little down and clicked on another link that brought me to the recipes. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link. I made the sausage & biscuit breakfast skillet from Boma a few weeks ago & DH loved it!

Ive made the french toast loaf and my family loved it.. Altho dont try and mess with the recipe, Im always looking for ways to cut down on sugar or fat so I made it with half and half instead of cream, I thought it was good, family didnt know what Id done they just knew it wasnt the same and was unhappy I messed with a good thing! LOL!

I also like making different things, because it gives me an idea of what the food will be like at a certain restaurant. Also, if we don't get a chance to eat in a certain place, we could still sample some of their items at home. For example, we may go to 50s Prime Time for lunch on our next trip, but not for dinner, and I know that we wouldn't get pot roast at lunch, but we wanted to try it, so I made it one night for dinner. We would be more likely to get a sandwich for lunch or a big salad there, not a heavy entree like pot roast or fried chicken. We're really going more for the experience than the signature items on their menu, but it was nice to make the pot roast and it came out delicious...this was months ago. I will be making it again when the weather gets cold!

Wonderful site; I sent it to my dad about two years ago, after he retired. He became the cook in the family. He said he loves to try out new stuff and some of them are surprisingly easy to make!
