I'm living Vicariously through

MY HUSBAND! He is in FL on a business trip and took a side trip to WDW this weekend with his free military salute ticket...tonight he called me at least 6 times saying "Okay, I'm in the room (Contemporary) and I see Space Mtn" "Okay now I'm in the parking lot...ooo the monorail just went over head....it's the purple one....WOW the fireworks are AWESOME!" 45 minutes later "Okay, I'm at Downtown Disney now....cool Christmas decorations...where should I eat?" "All Right...now I am at Pleasure Island and no one is here yet (it's about 11)..Adventurer's Club is closed due to a private party....I think I'm going to go to WestSide to try and get something to eat..." "Okay, I got shrimp cocktail at Bongos but I might get a hot dog on PI." I told him he could probably grab a fruit and cheese plate at the Food and Fun Center and he thought that sounded good too...

It was SO cool and yet I felt like crying cause I wasn't there. I was like "Hold the phone up so I can hear the music!" I have no right to be jealous cause I got to go on a girl's trip for a week in October, but man, oh man, has the Disney World bug hit! I am starting a vacation savings account TOMORROW so we can get there as soon as possible! Maybe this time next year we can go together again!

Tomorrow--- he is heading to MGM to ride some rides, and try and spot those grown up Brady's, as they're taping for the Christmas special Then he said he might go to the MK or perhaps to Epcot---he's kinda a fly by the seat of his pants tourer of Disney, not Miss Have a Plan 6 Months Before I Go kind of person like his lovely Wife!

wow - I am jealous too! I get jealous though just thinking about the people in DisneyWorld right now having fun and riding my favorite rides... *sigh*

When my father goes to WDW (he lives close by) he calls DD and holds up the phone so she can hear the parade music.


I feel your excitement and pain.


I think he's trying to get her to beg me to visit sooner.

I did this to DW once. Only once. Subsequently when I have called home, there's a hurricane and all the rides are shut down.

Okay, day two and so far he has been to MGM (EE day--he said to get in took about an hour!!!What??!?!?! Craziness---) and went on Tower of Tower, took the boat to Epcot, walked around World Showcase, had sushi and a Kirin at Matsu Nama lounge and then made a HUGE mistake.....went on Mission:Space after sushi and a beer...he had to go back to the hotel via monorail to lay down for an hour or two...he said it really messed him up and I don't think he's ever been woozy after any kind of ride. I went on it and felt slightly disoriented for 5-10 minutes, but was fine. At 5:30 Eastern time he said he was walking to the MK and wanted to do some calmer rides like Pirates, Haunted, Buzz...poor guy! He said it's COLD- he plans on staying at the MK til 11 and he said he looked up the weather on the web and with the wind chill it's supposed to feel like 35 or 40 degrees tonight! I'll keep posting updates if you want to hear about em! I guess I should post on trip report boards...
