I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

Congrats on the DVC! So exciting -- you guys will definitely get your mileage out of it!

So excited for you - how fun to have WDW in September to plan for and look forward to! We stayed at Wilderness Lodge our first time at WDW and loved it - even though we're from the Pacific Northwest too.

And then DVC - even more exciting! I can only dream....maybe when my kids are out of college? Ha ha. Although that could be a while...younger son wants to be a vet :)

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

So, so so, excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I KNOOOOOWWWW!! ME TOO!!

Yay! I saw the announcements on Twitter. That's very exciting!

I'll have to find myself in WDW sometime that week :) And this time at the same park as you! (I swear I'm not a creeper.)

Thanks, it's super exciting!! Hahaha, and that sounds good! :thumbsup2 You're not a creeper at all!

:cheer2:A new trip booked and becoming DVC members:cheer2: That is one exciting Sunday! Congrats!

I know, it was a VERY exciting weekend indeed!! Thank you very much, we're so excited!

AWWW YEAHHH. Yeah so I already saw everything on twitter and we've already talked about it... (and I actually guessed the second one!!! Bahah) but still so extremely exciting!!!!!!!

Bahaha, I know, you called it. I'm not surprised though. You're just good like that! ;)

Yay!!!!! That's so exciting!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

AHHH I KNOW! I can barely believe it right now!

Congratulations on both announcements! We'll miss you guys by a week in September. We're staying at BWV September 29-October 3. We are sneaking another trip in as well since our PAP expires in October.

Buying DVC was a great decision for us. It is so much fun to be able to book a trip and not have to get out a credit card to pay! We stayed at OKW last October in a studio villa and it was only 10 points per night! That is our go to when we want a quick trip and don't want to use a ton of points!

Thank you very much!! That's so sad we'll just miss you! But that sounds like a fabulous time to go, especially with F&W!! Good call on sneaking in another trip before the pass expires!

I am so with you on DVC; it's going to be really great, especially when we hopefully have kids and can take them to Disney, you know?

OKW is AWESOME for when you want to spend less points, I totally agree! I'm glad we have it as our home resort in case we ever want to go during a busy time but not spend a crazy amount of points, either. Seems like a great trade off, plus we really like that resort!

Yay for the Beach Club Villas and Villas at the Wilderness Lodge! Both are amazing resorts. My family is in DVC so I've been lucky to stay at all of the DVC resorts in WDW (well, not Bay Lake Tower yet but that will change in 3 WEEKS!!!!!). Just beware, DVC definitely spoils you! ;)

I am very excited to check out VWL!! It has my favorite resort lobby in all of Disney. That's awesome that you are staying at BLT in 3 WEEKS! Ahhh, I hope you have the best time!

I'm very well aware of DVC spoiling me, haha, we've stayed through DVC on our past 3 trips to Disney (as my in-laws have been DVC members since it first began)... Spoiled me enough into being convinced we need to get our own points!

YAYYY!! Good for you! :cool1:
As you may recall we are having our first family trip soon and I have stalked every Disney everything (web & book-wise) & I've thought..within the next 5 years we should be empty nesters! Wouldn't it be nice to become DVCers? A girl can dream, right? ;)
Very happy for you both!

Woohoo! Now that is some super exciting news! Though I am kinda sad that we'll miss each other by a few days as we'll be down at the end of August! :dance3: I can't wait to hear how you like VWL! That's my hubby's dream resort, but we're yet to stay there...I love the grounds and all, but I just have these reservations about the rooms for some reason!

And congrats on almost being a DVC member and welcome to the club!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I know, I am super excited!! But that IS sad we are just missing you by days! Wompwomp. :(

I have had reservations about the rooms, too, but I figure 3 nights there should give us a good feeling of whether or not we like it, and if it's not for us, we'll be heading to Beach Club a few days later! But I love that resort and I think we'll really enjoy taking the boat over to MK! :yay:

Thank you so much, I can't really even believe we're working towards becoming members. It's kind of crazy but also very exciting!!

Awesome!!! We will be at WL from the 6th -15th, so we'll have a few days of resort overlap. Maybe we'll see you guys in that beautiful lobby. :thumbsup2

We absolutely love WL, and going in September. The lack of crowds that week last year impressed us so much that we booked a bounce back for this year. Your ADR date is coming right up too! We booked ours yesterday and got everything we wanted, including Be Our Guest after your great review of it. You gotta love low crowd times.

Congrats on the upcoming DVC membership too. I see more Golden Tickets in your future, and perhaps a few nights at the Grand Californian... Very fun stuff.

Oh that's fabulous! I sure hope we run into each other in the lobby; if you see us, definitely say hi!! :thumbsup2

I am really excited to check out WL! And yeah, I've heard nothing but great things about the crowds in September, so I'm very excited about it! We've always loved January but this past one was so busy, I'm very interested to see how September goes!

We won't be doing the DDP but we're thinking of doing probably around 4 reservations this trip! It'll be interesting to see how different things are without the DDP and not being stuck with a ton of ADRs. That is SO great you booked Be Out Guest; I really think you will enjoy it!!

Thanks so much, and I hope we see Golden Tickets in our future again!! I'm hoping we do get an opportunity to stay at the Grand Californian! I'm going to try my best to get us in there, possibly later this year, but we'll see. I'd love to go to Disneyland with the benefit of staying on property; I'd love to see how it makes it different vs. leaving property, you know? Fingers crossed we get to stay there at some point, as I know it can be very difficult at the 7 month mark.

"THIS IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION!" - Phoebe Buffay
I'm so excited for you guys and I can't wait to hear all about your trip! Also, I cannot wait to plan a trip that overlaps one of yours since you'll be out this way probably every year now. ;)

Hahahaha, love the Friends quote. I am very excited about thiiiisssss. And yes, we are going to make it happens and overlap trips again, I swear! That's the plan, to make it out there once a year! The only way I can see us not coming to Disney World one year is if we go to Aulani, which is a definite possibility!

Awesome trip report so far Dani! And YAY:cool1::banana: on both announcements!!

Thank you so much!! :) :)

I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD, HEY! :cool1:

Psh, that was pretty much how I was feeling when we booked our trip yesterday! AHHH, yup.

Congrats on the DVC! So exciting -- you guys will definitely get your mileage out of it!

Thank you, it's ridiculously exciting, and I agree, I think we will be getting great use out of it for a long time! It'll be wonderful when we have kids, as well!

Thank you!! I am really excited that we have another trip to look forward to, I can't believe tomorrow will be the 6 month mark, too!

I'm so glad you liked the WL, especially being from Seattle. It's actually working out really well because in September, we usually take a trip up to the Paradise Inn on Mount Rainier for our wedding anniversary, and so staying at Wilderness Lodge, which definitely took some inspiration from Paradise Inn... so it'll kind of feel like a little weekend up there, haha. :thumbsup2

Yeah, you know, DVC is definitely an investment but it's so worth it, especially if you like staying at the deluxe resorts! But you can save even more by going with a resale vs. direct... Either way, I hope you can look into it at some point!! :goodvibes

Very happy for you both!

Thank you so much!! :)

You are going to have the best time, oh man! I think it would be WONDERFUL to become DVCers, just saying! :thumbsup2 It can be a fantastic investment if you love vacationing in Disney every year!

Thank you again. :goodvibes

So every time I come around the corner and see this chick with the high boots, for a split second I think she has her pants down around her ankles. Yeah, that's just me.
And the fact that you referred to Dame Judi Dench as "M" is truly awesome.

HAHAHA I laughed out loud at your comment about the lady with her pants down! Oh my gosh, so funny.

And thank you for getting that Judi Dench/M reference! I had just watched a ton of Bond movies and I just think of her as M, darnit. Glad someone caught that little side comment in my update!

Hi!! I’ve been looking for some new TR’s to read (as I clearly spend too much time on the disboards lol) and your’s looks awesome, I’m excited to get all caught up!!

Oh my gosh those Toms are TOO CUTE! I seriously need someone to make me some one of these days, like, so many of the designs are adorable!! I’m starting to think that next trip I might get some of the free wifi, it’ll keep me much more entertained and I’m usually way too excited to sleep on the way to Disney, and it ends up being like, a seven hour flight all together!

How weird that you were in the same room as last year! That’s crazy!! I have yet to stay at Beach Club, but I will one of these days, we took a little excursion there for beaches and cream last month and I fell in love with it!

Cape May is another thing on my list to try, possibly next trip, who knows?! Sad the oreo bon bons are gone though! It’s so pretty at night at Beach Club, *sigh* Ah stacy! Such a Disney tradition, I was so happy to see she had new stuff when FLE opened!

Who doesn’t know who Gonzo is?! Wow! AH GOLDEN TICKETS!! Mine just expired sadly, but it was an AMAZING year with that thing!! I do love that they’re super fancy too!

I love the black and white photos, they look great! I definitely agree with the “tron” feel of the new test track! I really can’t say I enjoyed the changes in TT, like, they didn’t change a whole lot, it’s the same track, and practically the same ride! We also designed our car based on making it the most ugly thing we could, and I think during the ride it was just “comparing” the cars everyone in the ride vehicle had made, but sometimes the screen would still be showing the cars from the one in front of us, not quite worked out yet….

Uhm….I need that monorail ringtone!! Did you just record it? How awesome that you guys aren’t afraid to be kids in Disney! After all, it is the best place to do it! I definitely got that “something’s off” feeling in DLR, as amazing as it is, WDW will be my home haha!

You got some amazing shots of BOG, all of mine, especially the west wing, did not turn out that great! AH! I didn’t notice the mirror on the rose table before!!!

Yay for a new trip in the works!! We’ll be down there Sept 11 to the 19th as well!! I considered staying at BC too but in the end a cheaper price won and I booked at POFQ! Still got my fingers crossed for free dining!! Yay!!

Okay, watching your video now and I had to pause to comment:
#1: tearing up….so much…and the second the inside of BOG showed up with the snow out the windows, I died, THEN the buzz and woody hats! THOSE ARE SO CUTE AND AWESOME! I am dying of emotion…

I love all the quotes from Walt you included. They make me so emotional, especially the “to all who come to this happy place, welcome” one, that one with his voice, and I’m just like, a blubbering MESS. Lawl.

POR FAVOR!!! Monorail speech is the greatest thing IN THE WORLD

Loved the video!! Great work!!

Even though I mentioned it on Twitter, congrats again on the WDW trip in Sept & becoming DVC members! Welcome to the DVC family! :flower3:

Chapter Twelve: I'm screaming like I'm being murdered... and everyone's laughing.
Day 2: January 18th, 2013

It was starting to get dark out, which is one of my favorite times of day to be at Magic Kingdom!

file_zps5baa3e67.jpg

file_zpsa273bb4c.jpg

Beast's castle was also lit up and it was GORGEOUS.

file_zps3ab73d86.jpg

file_zps03863382.jpg

file_zpsacccc7de.jpg

Our dinner lasted for awhile, so it worked out that our Space Mountain Fast Passes were good to go! We headed on over towards that direction, and I have to say, I lovelovelove Tomorrowland all lit up at night!

file_zpsd0aa45f4.jpg

I also noticed the stage nearby. It's funny, usually I really despise the stages they will sometimes bring out (especially the one at Hollywood Studios, don't get me started on that hideous thing)... but I didn't mind this one.

Number one, it was off in its own corner and not invasive at all. And number two, the music wasn't obnoxiously loud. That's all I ask for if you're putting up a stage!

file_zpsaa857e87.jpg

Anyway, we used our FPs for Space Mountain and took some fabulous photos, to boot.

file_zps06bbe093.jpg

file_zps6e51bb3b.jpg

I've mentioned this before, but I scream on Space Mountain like I am being murdered in cold blood. We had warned Bruce and Amy of this, so they insisted that I sit behind them, and we wanted Amy to sit in the front since she loves the thrill (and I wasn't arguing that one since the front is even more terrifying for me).

From my account, all I could hear aside from my blood-curling screams was Bruce in front of me in HYSTERICS laughing. When we got off, everyone was laughing at me and my screaming.

I enjoy Space Mountain in such a weird way. It really does scare me, especially because I can't see anything. My eyes have a very hard time adjusting to the dark, so it's pretty much me flying around thinking I'm going to fall to my death.

I could probably live with going on it once or twice a trip, but I had a feeling we would be going on it again, especially because everyone found it so hilarious how much I screamed on it.

I love the little end part of Space Mountain with all of the cool dioramas and the moving walkway; they make me happy.

file_zps8dd66ce6.jpg

file_zpsbbfc1329.jpg

Anyway, for some reason they didn't collect Bruce and Amy's FPs, so we told them to go on it again and have fun! While Matt and I were waiting for them, we spotted one of those Dog ID tag machines nearby and we decided to get our dogs new ID tags!

This is something we'd actually meant to do the previous year but forgot, so we did it now instead.

Milo, my pug mix, is TOTALLY a little version of Stitch, so we went with this tag for him:

file_zps8e93f421.jpg

The back side has his name and my phone number etched into it.

For our big dog Anya, we went with a classic Mickey head, engraved with her name and Matt's cell phone number on it.

After we got our tags, we waited on a bench right near the exit.

Bruce and Amy showed up shortly thereafter, and told us that they actually got to ride on the right side, Omega. Of all the times I have been on Space Mountain, I have NEVER gone on the right side. We have always had it be that they take our FPs and put us towards the left/where standby is usually sent.

I've always gone on Alpha. I'd heard rumors that the right side, which is usually for Fast Passes only, was a lot worse, so I was very thankful we weren't put on that side. Bruce and Amy actually confirmed that it was definitely jerkier and scarier on that side... So basically, you'd probably find me passed out on that side.

We left Space Mountain and it was really dark by now. I absolutely love Tomorrowland at night.

file_zpse0aa79ed.jpg

We noticed that the wait for Buzz Lightyear was super short, so we hopped over there for a little pewpewing.

file_zps3e0440ee.jpg

file_zpsa77cfcd5.jpg

I made up for my terribleness in Disneyland on Buzz by beating Matt, even though my score was still pretty poopy.

file_zps376dd1b6.jpg

file_zps14fa0c2e.jpg

Amy beat all of us though, as she had some crazy high score, and evidently hit one of those huge-scoring targets.

We left Buzz and I may or may not have begged everyone to go on PeopleMover again. I mean, it IS a different ride at night! Everything is all lit up and so beautiful!

file_zpse7982499.jpg

file_zpsa5cd9679.jpg

I can never get enough of it. One funny thing I noticed is how much MORE you can see of Space Mountain when you go inside and it's night time, because your eyes aren't adjusting to the sudden darkness. I had no clue you could see that much more at night!

We noticed that the crowds were really starting to die off because people were waiting for the fireworks, so we figured it'd be a good time to check out Big Thunder! We cut through the hub over to Frontierland and stopped for photos... where I got some of my favorite shots of the trip.

file_zps9a23c607.jpg

file_zps453a21c9.jpg

I LOVE how the castle reflects on the water with the area lit up below. It's just stunning and one of my favorite areas to take photos.

We stopped for a couple of PhotoPass photos, as well. For some reason, Bruce and Amy's photo didn't get uploaded, so you get to see another photo of mine and Matt's beautiful faces.

Photo0429FourBySix_zps458ff04f.jpg

We continued moseying on over through the hub I got a few more photos of the castle closer up.

Chapter Thirteen: There's a first for everything... and School Bread saves the day!
Day 2: January 18th, 2013

As we left off, we were strolling on over towards Big Thunder Mountain, but really taking our time because of our wonderful surroundings!

When we got over on the other side by the bridge to Adventureland, we all started taking photos because it was too beautiful not to!

file_zpsa58eff0e.jpg

file_zpsee502ee3.jpg

file_zps1bad2b7a.jpg

We somehow ended up in Liberty Square, and I was starting to really notice a lot more details this trip. Like the lanterns on this tree, I was in love with them.

file_zpsf05a7e34.jpg

file_zps2a24996a.jpg

We continued on towards Frontierland, where the crowds were just DEAD. It was seriously like night and day compared to even just an hour ago in terms of the crowds. I'd never seen them drop this much in the past.

file_zpse72e5371.jpg

We got to Big Thunder and it was pretty much a walk on, yay! Matt was pretty happy about it!

file_zps53ec11b4.jpg

We had an absolute blast on it. I hadn't been on it since our honeymoon in January 2011 (or well, we went on it in Disneyland but it's definitely different)... but it was SO nice to see that they'd fixed everything and it was looking so much better than when we'd last been on it.

Funny enough, in Disneyland, it was looking pretty rundown and in dire need of a refurb, which it's now receiving for the next 7 months or so.

We actually decided to go right on it again because there was no line. I loved all of the little bats at the beginning of it!

After our second ride through, we decided to go head back towards Liberty Square. As we made our way over, Wishes began! I'd initially said we could just keep walking since we had plans to watch Wishes later in our trip, but we couldn't help but stop a few times for photos and just to watch the fireworks.

file_zps47dfe10d.jpg

I actually got a few really neat shots over near the Liberty Belle as we were walking.

file_zpsf5f23e5a.jpg

file_zps5fa42ef6.jpg

We finally pulled ourselves away from the fireworks and hopped onto Haunted Mansion! Leota was being such a creeper, staring at us while we waited for the doors to open.

file_zpsab62ffa0.jpg

We enjoyed hanging out with our ghostly friends, then headed back out through Adventureland. The fireworks had ended and the crowds were heading out of the park. We took our time leaving, stopping for another look at the castle, looking all pretty in pink.

file_zps987e170f.jpg

We headed towards Main Street to make our way out of the park.. and I have to say, I LOVE Main Street at night. It's perfect.

file_zps626f7cd5.jpg

Weaving in and out of the crowds, we stopped by a few stores, and just enjoyed being on Main Street at night. It felt so good to be back.

file_zps5da21697.jpg

file_zps7dde2008.jpg

We headed out of the park and made it to our bus stop, and there was a bit of a line in front of us, so we knew we'd be standing.

Fun fact: This was the first time we've ever had to stand on a Disney bus in all of our trips. Kind of crazy!

Unfortunately my feet were HURTING, so standing wasn't really much fun at all.

file_zps0c97a60b.jpg

However, I do enjoy listening to the lovely sounds of seagulls and crashing waves...

Anyway, we finally made it back to Beach Club and decided we wanted to go for a swim/go in the hot tub.

As we were walking past the quiet pool, we noticed some men sitting in the hot tub chatting away... and SMOKING CIGARS.

Ugh.

We hoped that by the time we changed into our bathing suits and all that, they'd be gone, but unfortunately when we got back down, they were still in the hot tub. Bruce and Amy were in the hot tub with them and some random woman, but Matt and I really didn't want to have to deal with chatting with these people or their cigar smoke, so we jumped in the pool.

We swam for awhile, but eventually got cold and got into the hot tub, thinking that if Bruce and Amy survived as long as they did, it probably wasn't that bad.

Yeah, no... not so much. We lasted maybe 20 seconds before the cigar smoke was just way too much and Matt and I immediately got out of the hot tub.

It was remarkably annoying, because no one wants to smell your nasty cigar smoke when they're in the hot tub, and I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to SMOKE IN THE POOL area. It was just gross.

At the same time, because I'd said something earlier to Crabby Cathy and Carl at Magic Kingdom, and I really didn't want to cause an awkward situation in the hot tub, I didn't say anything.

We just removed ourselves from the situation, even though we shouldn't have had to. We considered going to the front desk to inform them but it wasn't worth it, and even calling would be pointless since you're not connected to the actual front desk when you call.

Bruce and Amy got out around a minute later so we ended up waiting for them and then went back up the elevator together, and said good night to them.

It was kind of a bummer to end our day on a sour note, but when we got back upstairs to our room, my annoyances were swept away when I remembered we had THIS to look forward to:

file_zps75378f03.jpg

OH SCHOOL BREAD, WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD?! YOU FIX EVERYTHING.

Matt ended up running down to the Marketplace to get us both some hot chocolate, so between that and the School Bread, I was back in my happy place of Disney zen.

Seriously though, I just love School Bread so much. I wish I could eat it year-round.

file_zps11bad878.jpg

Look at that delicious custard! I love how it's not too sweet, and with the little bits of coconut on the outside, it's basically the perfect Disney snack.

After I finished eating, I took photos of the pins we got earlier in our mystery pin pack! It was all of the new character hats that they also sell as Christmas ornaments. We actually own the Wall-E/Eve ornament, which was also part of this mystery pin set. Unfortunately we didn't get that one, but we did get...

Chip!

file_zps1a383271.jpg

Donald!

file_zpsfef10bb4.jpg

Evil Queen

file_zpsa961a337.jpg

Cheshire Cat

file_zps2ef604ae.jpg

And we also got Buzz Lightyear, but I somehow forgot to take a photo of that one. Wompwomp.

I also got a photo of the new Epcot shirt I'd bought earlier!

file_zps08a4cec1.jpg

I didn't get one of Matt's, but we both end up wearing our shirts during this trip, so you'll see his later on!

Anyway, after I took photos of all our goodies, I spent some time tweeting and instagramming, writing in my Trip Journal, and watching Stacey.

We headed to bed at a decent hour because we had to be up really early for EMH at Hollywood Studios. We had an epic day ahead of us!

Until one of the four of us falls ill and is down for the count... DUN DUN DUN.

...

I'm trying something new with this TR, as I have really enjoyed this element in some other people's TRs: Adding in my favorite parts of the day, and the not-so favorite parts of my day... with obviously awesome titles for each. It's a fun way to recap each and every day, especially with so many chapters and so much going on every day.

For the happy moments, appropriately titled "YEAH YIPPY WOOHOO MOMENTS!", you get a gif of Ron Swanson dancing because I love Parks and Rec and these moments were worthy of a Ron Swanson dance.

For wompwomp moments, you get a gif of Debbie Downer from SNL (because it's so perfect and you can just imagine the wompwomp trombone in the background).. And yes, every "wompwomp" moment gets a wompwomp after it.

YEAH YIPPY WOOHOO MOMENTS!
ronswanson_zpsce1addf8.gif

1. Walking into Epcot through the International Gateway for the first time
2. Checking out the new Test Track
3. Trading for lots of new pins
4. Buying an Epcot shirt
5. Strawberry shortcake and School Bread!
6. Seeing the Castle for the first time
7. Seeing New Fantasyland for the first time and trying LeFou's Brew!
8. BE OUR GUEST!!
9. Watching Wishes in Liberty Square over the boat
10. Riding BTMRR with no lines

WOMPWOMP MOMENTS!

1. The CM not knowing who Gonzo was, wompwomp.
2. Crabby Carl and Crabby Cathy trying to rain on my parade, wompwomp.
3. The cigar-smoking men in the hot tub, yuck, wompwomp.
4. The crowds when we were in Tomorrowland were a bit crazy, wompwomp.

Yay I love this update! First of all, your photos are fantastic!!! I'll be heading down in October with a dSLR for the first time and I hope I will be comfortable enough with my camera to get some good pics.

I scream like a lunatic on Space too! Once is enough for me but my sister LOVES it. I think we went 5 or 6 times in September! The people mover is a fave also. I literally can't walk by it without going on it!

LOVE the pictures of Wishes over the Liberty Bella - very neat!

ETA: Congrats on becoming DVC also!! You guys will love it. Although I suppose you've already been using DVC points so you know how fantastic it is :)

Hi!! I’ve been looking for some new TR’s to read (as I clearly spend too much time on the disboards lol) and your’s looks awesome, I’m excited to get all caught up!!

Well hello!! Haha, I'm with you, I spend too much time on the DIS, too, hahaha. But I'm so glad you've decided to join my TR, and even better, you think mine actually looks worth reading, soooo you're awesome for that, haha.

Oh man, I agree! I've considered making my own but feel like they'd end up looking like blobs or something, hahaha. And yes, the wifi is REALLY amazing for those long flights, seriously! Worth every penny!

How weird that you were in the same room as last year! That’s crazy!! I have yet to stay at Beach Club, but I will one of these days, we took a little excursion there for beaches and cream last month and I fell in love with it!

Yeah, it was totally bizarre and I had no idea it could happen! But it did, haha. Beach Club is our favorite resort ever in the history of the world, soooo I am highly on board with you staying there! :goodvibes

Cape May is still great, even being Oreo Bon Bon-less. And I agree, the Boardwalk/BC/YC area is amazingly beautiful at night!! Stacey is just so part of that Disney experience! I love it.

Who doesn’t know who Gonzo is?! Wow! AH GOLDEN TICKETS!! Mine just expired sadly, but it was an AMAZING year with that thing!! I do love that they’re super fancy too!

Yeah, I just don't even know. I was pretty thrown off by it, hahaha. AHHH Golden Tickets are basically the best! I don't want ours to ever expire, wah. It'll be hard to say goodbye to them, they've been amazing!

Thank you! And yes, I am so with you on Test Track. The redesign isn't BAD, it's just not different enough to have warranted such a long refurb. We just never even saw our ugly car at all until we walked into that room at the very end.

Uhm….I need that monorail ringtone!! Did you just record it? How awesome that you guys aren’t afraid to be kids in Disney! After all, it is the best place to do it! I definitely got that “something’s off” feeling in DLR, as amazing as it is, WDW will be my home haha!

I actually got the ringtone from a website! And the name escapes my mind at the moment, but I think if you google Disney World/monorail ringtones, you should be able to find it!

And yeah, we have no shame when in Disney, just go to let loose and have fun!

I'm with you, DLR is fantastic but WDW is home.

You got some amazing shots of BOG, all of mine, especially the west wing, did not turn out that great! AH! I didn’t notice the mirror on the rose table before!!!

Thank you so much! Having a low-light lens helped, but even THEN it was difficult due to how dark it was! And yeah, how amazing is that detail?! Ugh, that place was awesome.

Yay for a new trip in the works!! We’ll be down there Sept 11 to the 19th as well!! I considered staying at BC too but in the end a cheaper price won and I booked at POFQ! Still got my fingers crossed for free dining!! Yay!!

I am so excited for another trip lined up! That is awesome you'll also be there!! If we see each other we'll have to say hello, because it's always fun to meet other DISers. POFQ I've heard such awesome things about; hopefully either free dining or a big room discount comes through! I would think it would since that's a slower week to be down there!

Okay, watching your video now and I had to pause to comment:
#1: tearing up….so much…and the second the inside of BOG showed up with the snow out the windows, I died, THEN the buzz and woody hats! THOSE ARE SO CUTE AND AWESOME! I am dying of emotion…

Aww thank you so so much for taking the time to watch my video, and I'm so glad you GET the emotion because I was definitely tearing up during it and thought I was just being silly. But that snow out the windows scene I am so glad I caught on camera!! And thank you, we have an earhat tradition every year, and this year Buzz and Woody just seemed right! :goodvibes

I love all the quotes from Walt you included. They make me so emotional, especially the “to all who come to this happy place, welcome” one, that one with his voice, and I’m just like, a blubbering MESS. Lawl.

I KNOW, I was looking for some quotes because he basically has said some of the best thing ever. And so yeah, he just kills me. Like when we saw his apartment from Main Street in DL I was just in awe... To think he started this all. Sigh.

POR FAVOR!!! Monorail speech is the greatest thing IN THE WORLD

Bahaha yes it is, and it HAD to make an appearance in the video!

Loved the video!! Great work!!

Thank you so much! I'm really happy you're here and you took the time out to leave such a wonderful comment! :goodvibes

Even though I mentioned it on Twitter, congrats again on the WDW trip in Sept & becoming DVC members! Welcome to the DVC family! :flower3:

Thank you AGAIN!! :yay: We're both so excited about both our trip and becoming DVC members!!

Aw I'm glad you love it!! This is one of my longer ones and it'll probably have to be up for longer than normal before I have another update because I now have to sit down and start writing Day 3! :rotfl:

Thank you for the wonderful compliments on my photos! Having a DSLR gives you such an awesome advantage when it comes to photos. I took some time to try and learn my camera a bit better, but I have a LONG way to go. Just remember that you will take a TON of photos and not every one will be a good one. I took well over 2500 this trip but I think widdled my DSLR photos down to like.. 1400.

I'm glad I'm not alone on the terror of Space Mountain. It's so scary... and yet fun, hahaha. PeopleMover is the best. I could just sit on it 5 times in a row and be happy. :cloud9:

Thank you! It just happened to be perfect timing as we were walking over the Haunted Mansion; I am so happy we got to watch it from a different angle for a bit!

Oh, and thank you so much! We're really excited to officially be members, and yeah, we're pretty darn familiar with it, which is what got us sucked in!

OMG your Debbie Downer end of day round up is perfection. "It's official.... I can't have children!" :rotfl:

Your pictures in these updates are just heaven. OH MY GAHD AM I EXCITED!

Obviously, it is beyond that you are joining DVC!!! I'm glad you're going back sooner rather than later as well! AAWWWWYEAH.

Hi Dani, I have to get all caught up, but from what I've read so far, this looks fabulous. How did I miss this before?? Thankfully it doesn't look like I'm too far behind, but still have a lot of catching up to do. Should be fun though :thumbsup2

I felt so left out not being able to comment on your last update, being that my name is Marissa, SO YAY for a new update!

I have honestly never noticed the difference between the two sides of Space Mountain, but then again I've also never ridden them back to back. Interesting!

YES! PeopleMover is so much cooler at night for the exact reason you mentioned! Seeing the inside of Space Mountain while not ACTUALLY being on Space Mountain is the coolest thing ever!

Your castle photos are so gorgeous. It's so funny to see the lights still strung up on it at night when they're not lit! Okay, actually, ALL your photos are gorgeous. LOVE!

Um... WHAT? No you do NOT smoke in the Stormalong Bay Area. I'm appalled. (Or were you in the quiet pool? Hah like that matters. Basically DON'T SMOKE.) I honestly can't handle the smell of cigarette/cigar smoke either. UGH, disgusting.

It's funny that you say 'little bits of coconut' about the school bread because to me, that looks like a crap ton of coconut. (Can you tell I'm not a fan of the coconut? HAHA.)

LOVE the merch pics! I wanted to buy that shirt but my sister and mom said it looked like a guy shirt. But like... I don't think so! So yeah, I really want it! :thumbsup2
