I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

Loved the latest installment of your trip report! Your pictures are so breathtakingly beautiful - you really have an artistic eye. I honestly don't think I've ever seen any pictures of the castle as beautiful as yours. Makes me wish I was there right now...

Your story about screaming on Space Mountain made me laugh! My DH, who LOVES Disney, does NOT love rides. He is very happy to people watch and be our fast pass runner. But he loves, loves, loves the People Mover. He tells everybody that it's really scary, and he tells everyone that he HAS ridden on Space because the People Mover goes through there. It cracks me up everytime.:rotfl:

Can't wait for the next installment!

I couldn't resist- I followed you here from your Disneyland report. Your photography amazes me! Are you shooting all in manual? I'm so slow on manual, I'm afraid I'd miss everything. But your pictures look like they could have come right out of a trip brochure!

Love reading your stories- I need to find a real life friend who loves Disney! You guys look like you are having so much fun!

I'm following your trip report !

I first found you on your Disneyland report and love reading all your adventures.
And now I'm soooo enjoying reading all about your Disney World fun !

I too love taking "food" pics. Family and friends don't always appreciate it at the time but when we get home and browse thru our trip pictures they're always happy I took them.

When in Epcot, do you ever have a friend / family member stand by the red phone booths in England, while you're somewhat out of sight and call one of the phone booths ? They are by the Rose & Crown. Its great fun !

I'm soooo happy for you that you have your very own "Prince Charming". You and Matt are adorable and are very blessed to have each other.

OMG your Debbie Downer end of day round up is perfection. "It's official.... I can't have children!" :rotfl:

Your pictures in these updates are just heaven. OH MY GAHD AM I EXCITED!

Obviously, it is beyond that you are joining DVC!!! I'm glad you're going back sooner rather than later as well! AAWWWWYEAH.

HAHAHA, I love Debbie Downer! My favorite is the one where they're at "Disney" and no one can stop laughing during the skit. SO FUNNY.

Bah thank you! :) You are going so sooooon.

I AM SO EXCITED about DVC! Noooo joke. And yes, very excited we are going back in September! This is the first year I've ever gone to Disney World twice in a year... and actually, if we go to Disneyland in November like we're planning, we'll have gone to Disneyland twice and Disney World twice in the period of a year. WHOA, that will probably not happen again in my life, hahaha.

Hi Dani, I have to get all caught up, but from what I've read so far, this looks fabulous. How did I miss this before?? Thankfully it doesn't look like I'm too far behind, but still have a lot of catching up to do. Should be fun though :thumbsup2

Welcome to my TR, and thank you for the wonderful comment! I'm so glad you're here, and you are definitely not behind because we've got LOTS to get through! :goodvibes

I felt so left out not being able to comment on your last update, being that my name is Marissa, SO YAY for a new update!

I have honestly never noticed the difference between the two sides of Space Mountain, but then again I've also never ridden them back to back. Interesting!

YES! PeopleMover is so much cooler at night for the exact reason you mentioned! Seeing the inside of Space Mountain while not ACTUALLY being on Space Mountain is the coolest thing ever!

Your castle photos are so gorgeous. It's so funny to see the lights still strung up on it at night when they're not lit! Okay, actually, ALL your photos are gorgeous. LOVE!

Um... WHAT? No you do NOT smoke in the Stormalong Bay Area. I'm appalled. (Or were you in the quiet pool? Hah like that matters. Basically DON'T SMOKE.) I honestly can't handle the smell of cigarette/cigar smoke either. UGH, disgusting.

It's funny that you say 'little bits of coconut' about the school bread because to me, that looks like a crap ton of coconut. (Can you tell I'm not a fan of the coconut? HAHA.)

LOVE the merch pics! I wanted to buy that shirt but my sister and mom said it looked like a guy shirt. But like... I don't think so! So yeah, I really want it! :thumbsup2

WAH I'm glad you're back. You are missed.

Yeah, I don't need to find out the difference, noooo thanks. Bruce and Amy confirmed my suspicions... but I'm sure as some point I'm going to have to ride on the right side!

PeopleMover is just amazing all around, at all times of day, but I do really enjoy seeing inside of Space Mountain. It really is way cooler!

OH THANKS! I could sit there and take 3408930948 photos of the castle and never get bored. It's beautiful. And yeah, it was weird seeing all of the lights on the castle... just not lit up, haha.

We were in the quiet pool since SAB closed at like, 7 every night... but yeah, it was basically really really rude and frustrating. If you want to smoke, that's fine, but please don't do it in a non-smoking area. In Washington State, we have really strict laws about smoking so maybe I'm just sensitive to it but ugh. NO THANKS.

Bahaha, I guess it kind of IS a lot of coconut, but I also love it soooo there's that. I'm sad you don't like it because the wonderment of School Bread is just amazing.

Meehhh, it is a guy shirt but I was just too in love with it not to buy it! I LOVED all of the Epcot merchandise they had this year! You should just get it on your next trip. :thumbsup2

I think it was very rude of the men to continue smoking cigars in the hot tub when got it. My husband smokes cigars ..... a lot ..... but he would never be so rude.

Yeah, like, again, it's totally fine if you're smoking it where you should be, in the designated smoking areas. Heck, I can even deal with it if they were smoking by themselves and immediately stopped when others got in... but to continue on with their smoking while we were all in the hot tub was just disgusting and rude.

My spots for Buzz Lightyear to get a super high score: the Volcano (which I think a lot know about, and is surprisingly hard to get...) and then in the next room, where Zurg is in his crazy Robot arm thing, shoot at the very bottom. If you hit it, you'll hear a "do do do" and you get 100k points. Keep hitting that.

Oh, and spin around and hit the back of things. They're worth a lot too.

I've maxed out a few times, these are usually pretty good for a high score!

Bahaha, you will see later in my TR I did a little research into the best targets to hit... I just have the hardest time figuring out which laser is mine sometimes! I WILL get a high score on our next trip!

Giiiiiiirrrrrlllll, you are getting too good with that camera of yours! I can't wait to see the rest of them!

and the lanterns in the Liberty Tree represent the 13 colonies!

September, please!

Psh thanks girlfriend.

AHHH that makes a lot of sense! I for some reason just never noticed them before somehow. LOVE THE DETAILS.

September please indeed!

YAY for DVC!!! And yay for the Wilderness Lodge! It's funny that you're staying at my 2 favorite resorts in the world! :cloud9:

I love Space Mountain too, but I can't handle it more than a couple of times per trip, it's weird, I love it because it's scary, but I also hate it because I feel like I'm going to die!!! :scared1:

OMG Tomorrowland at night is my favorite thing ever! I'm seriously so in love with Tomorrowland, all lit up, and that music loop is the BEST! :lovestruc However, I found that stage to be SO annoying...maybe it was quiet when you were there, but I think they cranked it up when I was there, because it's all I heard, and I just wanted to listen to the sounds of Tomorrowland! :sad1:

Wow, I love your pictures of the castle, beautiful!

BTMRR is so much fun, especially at night! I really need to go to Disneyland, it's crazy to me that there are some of the same rides there, but they are so different!

Ewww, that's so rude, smoking a cigar in the hot tub, I mean, be more inconsiderate. At least your school bread saved the day! Your picture makes it look so yummy, I'll have to try it again! :thumbsup2

I KNOW BAHHH! I am so excited, and I thought you'd enjoy our two choices for our trip! Haha, have you ever stayed at the Villas at WL though? Wondering how the rooms are there!

Hahaha basically you and I have the saaaame feelings about Space Mountain. It's fun but also terrifying... a love/hate relationship, if you will!

Tomorrowland is beautiful at night, I love all of the lights and everything. I can see how you wouldn't like the stage, I'm wondering if it was just had it quieter or something when we were there. Thankfully there wasn't music at all times of the day, either!

Thank you! I love the castle so much.

BTMRR is awesome at night, I LOVE it. And yes you do! The rides are way different there, especially Space Mountain.

Ugh thank goodness for School Bread because those guys in the hot tub made me so angry! And yeah, I'd say give it one more shot and then you can decide!

Tommorowland at night is just so awesome. I completely agree with you about the stage there! One of the only ones that doesn't bother me.

You have no idea how badly I wish we had gone on Space that night in MK. :lmao: I LOVE the front, so terrifying and hilarious all at the same time. Matt's face in that ride photo is just epic.

I love the doggie tags! Too cute.

PEOPLEMOVER AT NIGHT IS MY FAVORITE.

Glad you guys got to ride BTMRR! It was weird to ride it in August after so long.

Holy poop those Riverboat firework pictures!

Main Street is perfect at night. I think all of MK is perfect at night, actually.

Standing room only, wompwomp

I would have been so mad if I had been there to witness the cigar incident. :headache: What is wrong with people?! Glad you had school bread and hot cocoa to make it better. I like to add a teensie bit of milk to my Disney hot chocolate, makes it nice and creamy since they use water to make it.

That Donald pin is way cuter than the ornament!:love::love:

You know I love that shirt. Very nice

I know who falls ill!

I am so incredibly happy at your gif choices. Debbie Downer is PERFECT for wompwomp moments.

Yes, it really is! And I'm glad you agree, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be when I first saw it... I was like PLEASE NOOOO, not another stage! But then it wasn't too awful.

Bahaha, you would've thought I was a crazy woman and run away from me. So ridiculous, but I can't help it. I find it terrifying!

Our pups now proudly wear their little Disney tags!

PeopleMover is just the best, period.

I was happy to ride and have it looking all nice and refurbed! Disneyland's was looking pretty rundown, so I needed a little new BTMRR in my life!

Bahaha, I love that you said holy poop... because I say that all the time.

MK is perfect at night, it really is! Every area is just that much more magical.

Standing room is a wompwomp, but at least we made the bus!

The cigar dudes were big turds... THANKFULLY we didn't experience them again, but ugh. WE DO THE SAME THING WITH OUR HOT CHOCOLATE! Makes it perfect and creamy and tasty. Sometimes I'll even put in a little hazelnut to make it even better. NUTELLA HOT CHOCOLATE!

I love that Donald pin, Matt was very happy we got it!

Oh thanks, I wear that shirt all the time, no big whoop.

Ohhh I feel so bad for the person who gets sick, it's not fun. :( And thanks! Debbie Downer IS perfect... I love that sketch, hahaha.

The first time DH and I went on Space Mountain together he sat behind me and the entire time I kept hearing what I thought was a teen girl screaming until we got off and I saw that DH had nobody behind him and he was the one I was hearing!

That is so rude of the people in the hot tub to be smoking. Our DS was born 15 weeks early (1lb, 3oz) and had very sick lungs for a long time (5 months in the NICU then home on oxygen). I hate when people don't smoke in the designated smoking areas

HAHAHA I laughed out loud at your husband screaming like a teenage girl! I'm with him though, that ride IS terrifying! :rotfl:

Yeah it really was rude and frustrating. I just wish people would understand that not everyone wants to smell your smoke and would ya know, prefer to enjoy the hot tub. Sigh. That must be hard for you guys with your DS! I would be infuriated if it involved my child!

Lol, all I can hear is the Debbie Downer slide trombone in the background! Wompwompwomp! That is my favorite SNL episode, especially the one where they are in a theme park restaurant that is supposed to be Disney!,

HAHAHA that's the sketch I always think of when I think of Debbie Downer... by far the funniest one because EVERYONE in that sketch couldn't stop laughing! :rotfl:

The Magic Kingdom really is super magical in the evenings! I love how pretty the Beast's castle looks all lit up!! :goodvibes

Ugh, that stinks (get it?) over the cigar smokers! There are enough smoking areas that smoking in the hot tub should be unnecessary!

AHHHHHH I love your Ron Swanson/Debbie Downer (but especially Ron) GIF's! :lmao: Excellent idea!!! :thumbsup2

Yeah, it's just gorgeous. I could spend so many evenings at MK and be content!

Hahaha, oh I get it, because that was nooot a fun stinky situation! It was just rude more than anything else! But these two didn't care about anyone else but themselves.

THANK YOU! I'm glad someone appreciates a little drunken Ron Swanson dancing. That episode KILLS me every time I watch it because of how ridiculous it is when everyone gets drunk off of the Snake Juice!

Great updates!

First of all, your castle pictures are all so pretty. That's awesome about BTMRR having no wait. I think that is one of the rides I'm most excited about riding because last April when I was there was during the refurb. Boo! Can't wait to finally get back on that!

I love those ear hat pins! I have one of the ornaments (Tiana) as well. They're so cute! Oh yeah, and the Epcot shirt is awesome too!

Thank you!! :)

BTMRR was so much fun and SO nice to see it all fixed up and looking pretty again! I think you'll enjoy it!

Those earhat pins were too cute! I hope they still have them again when we go back because I'd love to get some more! And thanks! The Epcot 30 merchandise was AWESOME.

OMG, LOVE your gifs!!!!!:lmao: You're perfection, lady!

Dusk is my favorite time at Magic Kingdom, even better than night time.
Your riverboat photos are magnificent! I know another photographer who would have loads of fun taking photos with you:thumbsup2!

I may have lost it at the guys in the hot tub. I know you were trying to not rock the boat, so to speak, but that would drive me too far. Regular smoke is bad enough, but thick cigar smoke is the worst. I'd be yelling, "DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA!?!?!?!?! SECURITY!!!!!!" People love me and my big mouth, especially shy Brandon...hehe...okay, maybe not.

Hey, I got a follower from YOUR TR! We're sharing friends, now!:cool1:

Hahaha thanks lady. :thumbsup2

I totally agree, dusk is perfect in MK. And thanks! Even though Brandon is absurdly more advanced and knowledgeable in his photo skills, I'm game for some photo-taking!!

Oh man, trust me, I was having a hard time keeping my mouth shut. But I just felt like earlier I'd said my part to those rude people in MK and I didn't want to upset Matt, Bruce, or Amy so I just let it be and left. They were just gross people.

HAHA YAY! If you mean Rachel (okw19), she's an awesome gal! I met her during our January 2012 trip and we got to hang out a bit. She is a wonderful friend. :goodvibes I think I got someone from yours, too! Hahaha, we really are sharing friends!

OK... I'm finally all caught up. Phew, are my eyes tired. I now see why this report is just so darn popular!! Wonderful. I loved Matt's childhood photo too.

I def have to agree that the first look at the castle is just pure joy each and every time! It NEVER gets old. I think I could park a bench right in the middle of main street and just sit there for hours.

I love how the park transforms itself from day to night. There almost 2 completely different "beasts". You captured both beautifully!!

Looking forward to the next update!!!!

Hahaha, I'm glad you're all caught up! Thanks for reading everything!! And yeah, I love that photo of him, it's so cute because he was SO shy around characters!

It really doesn't ever get old, EVER. It makes me teary every time I see it for the first time. Sigh. :cloud9:

It's so true, very much like two different parks! And I love them both for different reasons!

Thanks again for joining in!! :goodvibes

We'll definitely have to keep an eye out for each other! Do you know your park days yet?!

The parks are so pretty at night, I only wish I'd had the chance to see AK at night! It looks amazing in pictures!

I'm with ya on Space mtn, I only first went on it a year ago, and that was on the right side! Eeek! The left is definitely more tame!

Castle! SO PRETTY! I want to be there now....

Awesome! No, we don't yet... We're mostly kind of winging it on this trip, mainly because we want to have a trip with not a ton of plans and way less ADRs. I'm sure we'll have more of an idea though as we settle in and start planning more!

AK is BEAUTIFUL at night. I can't wait to get to that part of my TR!!

Hahaha, I'm glad you've confirmed it, as well! I just hope I don't get stuck on the right side! Though I'm sure it'll happen at some point.

Me too, I want to be there enjoying a Dole Whip or a churro. Buuut I have to wait!

Those photos of the fireworks over the Liberty Belle are so beautiful!!!

I feel you on the cigar smell...my dad loves smoking cigars and I can't STAND the smell of them! When he came on our Disney trip with us last year, he was confined to the balcony with the door closed if he wanted to smoke them. :crazy2: Blech! As Stephanie Tanner would say, HOW RUDE!

Thank you so much!! :)

Yeah, I just couldn't deal with it! I'm fine as long as you're not invading my non-smoking space, and these guys were.. BLERGH! I love that you incorporated a little Stephanie Tanner in there, hahaha. :thumbsup2

Ok Dani,

You have no idea how much you just made my day by posting the ron swanson dance video! Can not stop laughing!!!:rotfl2:. Keep up the great trip report:cool1:

Hopping over from FantasylandMom's report!!

I have to say, I literally laughed out LOUD at the story of your ringtone and the car. And now I'm wondering if I can set something up so that my car always says that when you get ready to drive. :rotfl2:

I am so glad I've never experienced the whispers in the stretch room. I HATE HM. With a passion. And so generally I'm running from the room in order to get the stupid ride over with as quickly as possible. I don't know why, but HM and ToT are the two rides I refuse to go on at WDW. Something about them just gives me chills.

I am extremely jealous of your BOG experience. We went in October, and they opened the New Fantasyland TWO. DAYS. after we got back. TWO FREAKING DAYS. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so I'm dying to try it out. And now I want the grey stuff! I can celebrate my birthday a month beforehand right?

I absolutely love the pics with the fireworks and Liberty Belle! Such a unique shot. Our last trip, we went to MK after dinner at Kona, and pulled up in the monorail station as Wishes was going off. But it meant that I got some really awesome pictures of the fireworks with the train station. Like this one:
307913_10152190475040232_2119436016_n.jpg

I'm also with FantasylandMom on the cigar people...I would not have stood by it. I would have told the front desk...I'm such a tattletale sometimes! But really, it keeps me from being part of an awkward situation (because like you, I avoid them and any type of conflict), but it does solve the problem.
Looking forward to your next update!

:yay: Welcome on over here! Jen is quite an awesome TR-writer and one of my favorites, so any friends of Jenn sure is welcome here!

Bahaha, it was such a funny incident! It couldn't have been timed any better honestly! :rotfl:

Hahaha, well, Matt's favorite is the Haunted Mansion so it's grown to become one of mine, as well! I have to say it's pretty creepy, though not nearly as bad at ToT! ToT is just downright terrifying... but that being said, the theming in both rides is phenomenal!

BOG was amazing, but what a bummer that you guys JUST missed it! I hope you get to try it out on your next trip!! You can totally celebrate whatever the heck you want, when you want, I say!!

Thank you! It's so awesome seeing Wishes from a different perspective, and this was no different! Like your shot is fabulous and such a great way to see Wishes!! :thumbsup2

Oh man, trust me, we wanted to but it was one of those battles that just wasn't worth fighting at that moment. I really didn't want our night to be ruined by it, so we just got ourselves out of the situation. We DID consider the front desk, but by the time Matt went to the Marketplace to get our hot chocolate they were gone, and I wasn't about to run to the front desk in my soaking wet bathing suit to tell them, either, haha. If we ran into them again though, I most DEFINITELY would have said something or went to the front desk!

OMG AGHHHHH thats super exciting ,both news stories are .I'm seriously loving this report and that means i get to look forward to sooo many more YAYYYY.

Thank you so much!! We are beyond thrilled, and I am so excited I get to write many more TRs!! :yay:

Can't wait to read the report. I've been lurking here for awhile. Hate that word "lurking" like I'm doing something creepy. Actually I just can't get online as much as I want and usually just do a quick skim through of messages on my lunch break. Anyway...

Looking forward to reading the rest of the report. And have to say "I WANT THOSE SHOES". I'll even change my name to "Amy". LOL

MikkiMom

First and foremost, WELCOME TO MY TR!! :) I'm so happy you came out of "lurkdom" to say hello! It's not creepy at all, though, I totally read TRs and don't say much, so don't even worry about it. Thank you for saying hello though!!

Hahaha, I wanted to steal those shoes, too! I am highly considering making my own pair of Disney TOMs but I'm worried I'm going to make them look terrible. :confused3

I about fell out of my chair laughing at the thought of you passed out in the Space Mountain car by the time the train got back to the station if you rode the other side. :rotfl2: Let's hope you don't have to test it out!

HAHAHA, I'm glad you thought that was funny because I did. I could just picture me passed out coming around the corner! :rotfl: I hopefully will not have to experience that, though!

I'm loving your trip report!

I have a selfish question for you. My teenager thinks I should ride Space Mountain at DL during our trip over the summer. I am a proud badge-wearing coward when it comes to coasters. I do love BTMRR, but that's the only one. Should I avoid Space Mountain? :confused3

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying it because it's been an absolutely BLAST to write!

Okay, so, Space Mountain is definitely more intense than BTMRR, even in Disneyland. While DL's Space is definitely a lot smoother and less intense than WDW's Space Mountain, it's still a big thrill ride. Being in the dark is what makes it scary. If you can handle the dark, you'll be okay, but I would say if BTMRR is your limit, you'll probably not enjoy SM in DL! I hope that helps you make a decision; I LOVED Space in DL personally, but I enjoy all of the rollercoasters.

Love the pictures of the castle and the fireworks! WDW looks so beautiful! I'd love to check out BOG based on your review alone!

OMG, I love the ear ornament pins! DH loves Chip & Dale, so we bought that ornament at DL this past Christmas. I'll have to keep my eyes open for that pin for trade.
Eewww, no one should smoke anything in the pool area, but definitely not when there are other people around. I wouldn't have been able to stand it either.

Anxiously waiting for the next installment!

Thank you!! :) WDW is amazingly beautiful and I love it. I think everyone who's been to either just DL or just WDW should visit the other park at some point in their life. It's such a different experience and both parks are wonderful for their own reasons!

I love the ear ornaments, too! The pins were too cute to pass on! I hope you can find that one!

The smoke was lame, and it was unfortunate, especially in the Beach Club Villas area. Fortunately that was the only time we really ran into any terrible issues in the hot tub!

Totally ridiculous about the cigar smoke. I bet that wouldn't happen at DLR because of all the smoking laws - I think they're different in FL. But still, who does that?!

I love all your castle photos & the Cheshire Cat pin is adorable!

Yeah, it was really unfortunate. It honestly normally does not happen in FL but these guys just thought they could do whatever the heck they wanted... which is why it was so infuriating.

Thank you very much, and I love the Cheshire Cat pin, too!

Wow, thank you for the awesome compliments!! I'm still really learning how to master the camera but I'm getting there! It means a lot though to know you liked them though, seriously... thank you. :goodvibes

Haha I was screaming my head off. It was fun but also kind of like, "Okay, get me off noooowww." Once was enough that night!

I'm with your DH, the PeopleMover is amazing! But I love how your DH has told people he has been on Space, bahahaha. Too hilarious!

New updates are coming soon! YAY!

Aww I am SO happy you followed me over here from my Disneyland TR!! Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments! I am usually shooting in Aperture mode, but have auto-focus on! Sometimes I'll shoot in Manual but with things happening every second of the trip, it's easier to stay in auto. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you enjoy my story because I love sharing them! I feel beyond blessed to have Matt as my partner in crime for Disney trips, because we just have the best time ever!

Awesome, glad you're here and you're following along!! And even better, you popped in over here after reading my DLR report!! YAY!

I'm so with you, I take food pics like it's my job when in Disney! :rotfl: Matt's gotten use to my antics by now, but same thing, he is happy I took photos once we're back!

Haha funnnny story about that! I actually call people all the time on those phones when I'm in England and feel like messing with people. I've had some hilarious reactions! I pretend my name is Pippen and I'm from England, hahahaha.

I actually did it to Amy during this trip and she had no idea I was calling her. :rotfl:

Ok Dani,

You have no idea how much you just made my day by posting the ron swanson dance video! Can not stop laughing!!!:rotfl2:. Keep up the great trip report:cool1:

Hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed the Ron Swanson gif! It just seemed so appropriate for this thread! I lovelovelove that episode of Parks and Rec! It's so hilarious!

And thank you!! :)

I can't believe that my initial reaction to Be Our Guest was that it wouldn't really be the kind of restaurant I enjoy! I am really hoping to one day have that shrimp and scallops dish in the puff pastry with some grey stuff to celebrate the end of the meal!

I haven't ridden Space Mountain in ages because the last time I did (before the refurb), I got a headache from the jerkiness of it. I would totally scream the entire time though! Well, at least until my mouth got too dry and no sound could come out.

Blech to the cigar smokers! I hate smelling any kind of smoke, but cigar smoke is particularly strong and the scent just lingers. Yay for a snack and pins back at your room though!

And YAY for the 2 announcements!

LOVE the pictures of the Liberty Belle with the fireworks. I'm sure you've mentioned it somewhere on here, and I'm just not seeing it, but what sort of camera do you use?

Ohhhh really?! It's such a fantastic place! I think you would really really enjoy it, it's honestly pretty amazing in terms of the amount of detail they put into it!

I can see how you'd get a headache; I tend to get off of it feeling a little dizzy because of all the screaming I do, hahaha. Pretty much every time we go on it, my voice is all raspy afterwards!

Ugh yeah, the cigar smoke was a bummer. Fortunately we didn't have to deal with that later on in the trip though! And yes, pins and School Bread made everything better!

THANKS! I am so excited over both being booked and becoming DVC members, it's so exciting!

LOVE the pictures of the Liberty Belle with the fireworks. I'm sure you've mentioned it somewhere on here, and I'm just not seeing it, but what sort of camera do you use?

Thank you very much! I use a Nikon D5100 with a 35mm prime f/1.8 lens! It's a fantastic camera and is what I also used for my video that I made, too! I'm still learning the ins and outs of it, but it's been a blast so far. Hoping to improve with it for future trips!

Chapter Fourteen: I am REALLY bad at dealing with anticipation.
Day 3: January 19th, 2013

We woke up to good ol' Mickey and Stitch calling us at 7am... and I've gotta be honest, we were both hurting bad. But once we got ourselves up and going (and ya know, took some ibuprofen for those aches and pains), we were feeling pretty okay!

I had a game plan (as some of you who read my PTR will remember) to keep on switching my footwear. On Day 2, I'd been wearing my New Balance sneakers, and while they were actually great at not giving me blisters, my sesamoid bone was hurting (I somehow tweaked this bone in my left foot and these sneakers evidently caused it to flare up a bit).

So! I decided to switch over to my Crocs that I specifically bought for our trip. I'd heard numerous people say they SWEAR by Crocs while in Disney, so I finally gave in (I'm not usually a fan of the style of Crocs) and bought a pair.

Matt also decided to give in and put some pins on his lanyard for trading! In the past, he's always had me do our trading as he wasn't really into it, but this trip decided to give it a shot. I'd given him pins the night before, so he made sure to bring his lanyard along!

After getting ourselves ready, we headed down to the Marketplace to meet Bruce and Amy. We grabbed some coffee, then headed out to catch our boat to Hollywood Studios for Extra Magic Hours!

file_zps6676e04f.jpg

I'm not sure what Bruce and Amy had for breakfast this morning, but I remember Matt and I both having Poptarts. I don't really ever eat them at home, but they were a really easy thing to eat along the way while we were on the boat.

I have such a huge love for the Friendship boats; it's really up there for one of my favorite Disney World modes of transportation. Usually we sit in the outside part, but this morning the boat was actually pretty bumping with people and so we had to sit inside.

We arrived at Hollywood Studios at 7:45, and there was quite a line to get in! I mean, not a surprise since the park wasn't opened yet, but it was still a bit daunting.

We hung around for a bit and then the park opened and we were finally inside! YIPPY!

file_zps85683073.jpg

Obviously, we were on a mission to go get TSMM FPs, like most other people walking in, so I was stuck taking photos with my iPhone (for now!) while we were walking.. I remember being BEYOND happy that the stage was gone from in front of the hat, though!

file_zps66fe4026.jpg

Last year there was a stage up the whole time during our trip and I could not stand it. It looked terrible and I wasn't a big fan of the music. I'm sorry if any of you liked it but I just... didn't. Call me an old lady but yeah, Matt and I weren't having it. So to see it gone was a bit of a relief.

Surprisingly, even though there had been a long line to get into the park, there was no line for TSMM FPs! I was happy about this.

As I got ours, I chatted with the CM standing nearby, because he actually got excited about one of my pins on my lanyard, haha. But anyway, we got a not too terrible return time of 9:35!

Bruce and Amy are huge ToT fans, so we headed over in that direction.

file_zps85b941e6.jpg

Okay so, Matt isn't the biggest fan of Tower of Terror. He does not like large drops at all (like on Splash, he hates the big drop), but he absolutely LOVES the entry/queue area of ToT (the theming is just amazing!), along with every part of the Tower of Terror ride itself... except for the drops.

That being said, he is usually a good sport and will go on it once during the trip because of his liking of everything but the drop sequence.

file_zpse5aa6110.jpg

file_zpscbe5a420.jpg

For me, I'm a little more okay with drops than Matt is. However, Tower of Terror still terrifies me. It's kind of similar to Space Mountain; part of me really loves riding it because it's fun but scary... and then part of me hates it because I feel like I'm going to die.

I also am NOT good with anticipation of things in life. I find that I'd much rather rip off the bandaid and get something over with than sit and wait and worry.

This can be applied to Tower of Terror; as we move forward and into the elevator shaft, and we are sitting there waiting for the first big drop... I HATE IT. I hate it so much. But once we start the drop sequence, it's a little bit better and I'm screaming my head off while still having fun... or at least until I'm thinking "OKAY I'M DONE PLEASE LET IT STOP OH GOD WHY."

Luckily, Matt was willing to go on once with us, and so we got a nice family photo together of the four of us on Tower of Terror.

Actually, this ride photo is kind of ridiculous. So I decided to zoom in on each of our faces for a little ride photo analysis.

file_zps31ee8b14.jpg

This is clearly not a flattering photo of me, so consider yourselves lucky that I

a.) Have no shame when it comes to hysterical attraction photos and
b.) Think you guys are nice people and will laugh at my photo and realize that I don't actually look like this all the time.

Unflattering photo aside, I WAS TERRIFIED if you couldn't tell. Remember my thing about anticipation? Yeah well, I told you I don't like it.

Every time we go up on the ride, not knowing if we're going to stop before we drop again, that part just kills me. I don't enjoy when you go up and then drop without any stop in between, and because it's all random, I was just looking like I was going to either throw up all over the person in front of me or cry... or both.

file_zps744721bc.jpg

Matt somehow managed to look happy and surprised at the same time. But trust me, that look is deceiving, because he was terrified. I also included the man behind him because he just needed to be in this photo.

file_zpsffddff2e.jpg

Then we have Bruce and Amy, who are just having a jolly ol' good time and are just smiling about life... or well, kind of, and you'll see what I mean in a moment.

After we got off of Tower of Terror, I decided to trade a Vinylmation and a pin. I ended up getting a Classics Minnie Mouse, and a Chip 'n Dale pin that I was super happy to find... It was part of this one pin set that I was determined to get during our trip!

file_zps7729a1d5.jpg

As I caught up with everyone, we found out Bruce wasn't feeling well, so he headed for the bathroom by Tower of Terror. You can actually kind of see in that photo of him on Tower of Terror that he wasn't looking too hot, even though he WAS smiling.

We waited around for Bruce, and I took it as an opportunity to get some photos of Tower of Terror with my nice camera.

file_zps0ac1833d.jpg

As you can see, it was starting to get busy. I was shocked by the crowds considering this was EMH! But at the same time, it WAS MLK Jr. weekend, so I suppose I shouldn't have been too surprised.

file_zps68def380.jpg

After waiting a bit, Bruce texted Matt and he told us to go on without him because of how sick he was feeling.

So Matt, Amy and I all decided to go on Rock 'n Rollercoaster since it was still nearby. Upon arrival, the wait was around I think 20-30 minutes, so we decided to all do single rider. Fortunately that was a pretty quick wait, so before we knew it we were off!

After enjoying catching up with Aerosmith, we headed back out to go find Bruce. He said he was feeling a little better, and so we decided to head over to Star Tours.

On our way, I noticed a PP photographer so we stopped for some fun photos.

Even though Bruce wasn't feeling well, he was definitely hanging in there!

Or was he?

Your face on ToT is PRICELESS!!! :rotfl:
But on a serious note, great update! I really do love your trip reports, they're always so fun!

I take back what I said about your previous ride photo from TT. This is the single. Best. Ride photo. I have EVER seen. Seriously, :worship: love it. I love that you posted it for us to see! Thank you for giving me a mid workday chuckle to carry me through the rest of the day!

Uh oh, I hope this isn't a sign of (foot) trouble to come. :worried:

FRIENDSHIP BOATS.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Omg, your face in that picture. Poor little Dani!!! :rotfl:

OH NO, poor Bruce. I sadly know how that feels. I hope it doesn't linger!

I may have already posted to let you know I'm following along; I don't remember. I don't feel like looking back/searching to see, so I'll just post again! I'm enjoying your trip report and can't wait for the next installment! :goodvibes

I'm such a Matt when it comes to ToT. I am usually a good sport, agreeing to one ride per trip, but I just like the theming and not especially the actual ride...except the part where you're going through the stars/doing the Twilight Zone thing before you are even in the elevator shaft. That's pretty cool. I guess you just read in my TR that we skipped ToT altogether this trip! Rain, I don't hate you:thumbsup2.

Your faces are sheer perfection. Absolutely wonderful.

Poor Bruce. Everyone in my family knows what it's like to be sick in WDW due to that infamous 2011 trip, and it stinks. HORRIBLE. Worst place to be sick ever. I feel for ya, dude.

So...anyone know what tomorrow is for you? Hmmm? And Sunday for me? HMMM?? HECK YES. ADR day, baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Dani, you returned the favour! You said I gave you a laugh on my TR and then you go ahead and top it with that wonderful TOT close up. Precious! :goodvibes

BTW, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have indeed worn crocs to the parks. :thumbsup2

And, oh yeah, I love the editing on the TOT street pics with the blurred background. :cool1:
