I'm just gonna say it...

I love "Let It Go". I think Idina Menzel did a great job in the film, but I would love the song no matter who sang it. The song lyrics have so meaning well beyond the movie...at least to me.

Me too. Love the song - both versions.

Love Idina, I saw her in concert last year, especially love her in Wicked too!!!

Love Idina. Saw her in Rent, saw her in Wicked. Got her autograph when she released her first CD ages ago, back when she'd just left Rent. And I adore her version of Let It Go. Can't wait to see her perform it at the Oscars.

Bruce Springsteen, who's been mentioned a few times on this thread, is also my favorite singer. I've seen him in concert 12 times.

I loved her in Wicked. I think the problem with "Let It Go" is the song itself.

She has a wonderful voice, but the song is very weak.

She sings better then all the pretenders like perry.

Embarrassing (?) fact: I'd never heard of Idina Menzel before this thread. And I think I should be glad that it would be impossible for me to get "Let it Go" stuck in my mind.

Yeah...me too. Only it is a welcome relief from "Everything is Awesome!!"
Oh darn...now I have both stuck in my head :rotfl2:

Why did you do this to me? Now, I have a new song in my head. It's called "Everything is Awesome Let It Go." :scared1:

Now, I'm going to go listen to Katy Perry (who I really like) to get rid of this going through my head so I can try to get some sleep tonight!!!!

Love Perry but she still cant sing.

I love Idina Menzel and her rendition of "Let it Go". I saw her in Wicked twice in Toronto and she is an outstanding singer/actor.

Seriously I could listen to her sing the phone book and love it. I would pay a fortune to be able to see her in Wicked.

I feel the same way about Springsteen, sounds like he's constipated! and the fact that i'm from Jersey, i get alot of grief from everyone! they think because he's from here we are all supposed to love him. And i do love Indina have seen her in Rent and Wicked. but haven't heard the song from Frozen yet.

Yep...can't stand Springsteen...I always said he sounded like he was trying to take a poop lol. My ex husband always said I was stupid because EVERYONE loved him so I was just stupid for not loving him also. Notice I said ex lol. Everyone has different tastes and I don't expect people to have the same taste in music/movies/food/etc as me.

Love the song and the lyrics ! Fits movie well and you could say it fits many other aspects that life brings. Also never heard of her before this movie but have no problem with her voice :music:

I had a professor put some Springsteen lyrics up on the board and try to start a discussion. Turns out NOBODY in the room was a fan. He seemed kind of hurt :rotfl:

Edit: I did say I liked Manfred Mann ;)

The first time in Toronto (Mar-April '05) Elphaba was played by Stephanie J. Block.

Wicked's return to Toronto (Oct-Dec '06) starred Shoshana Bean as Elphaba. During this period, Menzel was in the London production of Wicked.

The third time in Toronto (Oct-Nov '10) Jackie Burns had the role.

Lol...I used to make him mad because I told him everyone knew the Manfred Mann version and no one knew that Springsteen did it too. He would actually get angry and start yelling....who cares that much lol. :confused3 Once again....THE EX...and to this day he still can't figure out why we aren't together. :rotfl2:
