Hi guys

Arrrived home on Friday morning - have been busy catching up on much needed sleep + trying to keep warm in this lousy cold weather !

We had an excellent vacation and our wedding was truly magical.

The weather has been fantastic - temperatures were in the mid 90's everyday and no rain !!!!!


Highs

The wedding - the whole day was magical.

Royal Pacific Resort - beautiful resort + so relaxing !

Emerils Tchoup Chop - one of the best meals I have ever tasted.

Themeparks - no lines - 15 mins max wait times !

Virgin Atlantic - excellent service + Nintendo on both routes !



Lows

Rainforest Cafe - very average + overpriced.

Having to come home !!!!!!

Just a quick question, you say your plane had Nintendo on both routes.
Did you fly from Gatwick or Manchester as we've flown from Manchester with Virgin twice but we had no Nintendos on board. I was just wondering if the Manchester plane had been upgraded. My kids are on at me time after time to fly from Gatwick as they have Nintendos on board and we're only half an hour from Manchester Airport.

We flew from Manchester - the planes on this route are owned and operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic who provide a lease hire facility for airlines who require extra capacity - the planes are the older Virgin fleet - I pressume that AAI purchased the better of the planes from Virgin which happen to have the Nintendo system !

However - you can never guarantee which plane will be used on the day you are travelling !!!!!

We have also travelled from Gatwick and although the planes were from the new fleet we did NOT have the full entertainment system !

We got married 10 years ago this Wednesday in Antigua - a magical day that we will always remember - hope yours will be the same.

Tell me more about the Rainforest Cafe - I've never been to Florida before, first trip leaves on 9th June (I suppose you could call it an Anniversay Present!!) Made a priority booking at Rainforest cafe for 5pm after a planned day at Animal Kingdom -but I'm not sure whether to cancel it now - is it really that bad? Let me know - if you newleyweds have the time!!!!!!!!!!

Sandshal, we had a family meal at the Rainforest Cafe last month and really enjoyed it. We found everywhere we ate to be more expensive than we had thought and the rainforrest was no more so than anywhere else.
Congratulations to the newly weds, we just had our 13th anniversary and we are still talking, so thats not bad!

I have eaten at the Rainforest Cafes on several occassions and have always enjoyed the meal - enough so to return - but this time it really was poor - the service was very slow (we waited nearly 30 minutes for our drinks) and the food was very average for the $$$ - there were 10 of us in our party and we were all of the same opinion !

We had much better meals for less $$$ at other restuarants !

Don't let my experience put you off - especially if you have never dined at the cafe before - the theming is excellent and kids will love it - afterall we may have just been unlucky on our visit !!!!

The RPR is excellent and I would highly recommend it !

We had a king room which was loacted within the Winward Tower (1) on the seventh floor with great views of the pool area.
