I'm here now, and have a quick question for the Fort Fiends!

Hi everyone!
DH & I are here now -- staying offsite. We are tent campers (and would probably be camping at FW right now if we were visiting at a warmer time of year) and would really like to visit FW to see "the best campground in the country!" We'll probably ride the internal buses around and check out the 1500 & 2000 loops so we know what to expect when we (hopefully!) get to plan a trip there in the future We will probably also eat at Trail's End, and might even do the wagon ride this evening.

My Question: If we drive to FW will they allow us to park our car and enter the campground if we don't have any reservations (for HDDR for example)? I had originally planned on visiting FW on a day we were already at MK (and thus could take the boats) but since that won't be the case I just want to make sure FW will let us in before we head over there.

There is a parking lot that does not have a guard shack. It is parking for Tri-Circle-D, Hoop De Doo, etc. You are more than welcome to park there during the day and use the internal buses to explore the campground.

If you are coming from the Magic Kingdom direction, the entrance is the 2nd Fort Wilderness entrance on the left. If you are coming from the direction of Downtown Disney, the entrance is the 1st Fort Wilderness entrance on the right.

Disneys Fort Wilderness really sucks,,so gettn in to look around wont be a problem.

Heck,,just tell them you are with the RV Pressure Washing Co. and they will drive you around the loops themselves.



I'm kidd'n,,dont do that. But the security does suck.
