I'm having a yard sale tomorrow and I already sold...

I pulled it off with just me. My 5 and 7 yo girls were out with me, but all they did was try to sell their old toys and get Daddy if I needed him.. I obviously didn't let them take money from customers. My husband did come out every now and then so that I could use the bathroom. he also was the change man as the first 5 people who came through only had $20, so I ran out of change quickly. The other advantage was since we're in a small town, there waqs always somebody around that I knew who could look after things for a second if I had to run into the house. There was only about 3 minutes around 10:00 that nobody was there. I've never had such a turnout. I think having it the first of the month really helps!

I think mini blinds would sell even if they're custom cut! People will buy just about anything!

I had a yard sale over the Memorial Day weekend and I was pleasantly surprised by how many people turned out. I made almost $500 and I didn't have any big items, only small stuff. We did it as a community yard sale so it helped bring in the crowds. On the negative side, I was shocked by how much of my stuff was stolen. Items were disappearing real fast but when it gets busy it's very hard to keep track of everything. Oh well, live and learn.
