Im so excited to get rid of all this stuff i dont know what to do with myself..
not this weekend, but next.
i'm in dallas, and it's already in the 90's. I plan on selling nice cold drinks too.
Since i just moved my aunt into a slightly smaller house (not smaller, just smaller closets). So i'm trying to get her to go minimumal on things.
She's already said I could sell several large peices of furniture. And then there's a ton of stuff that needs to go. There are 3 plastic shelving things in the outside closet, so i have plenty of ways for displaying things.
What's a good way to hang clothes up?? All of them are on hangers now. But like the fence is too far back. I'm thinking i might get some poles and attach it to the shelves.
What's a good way to advertise? I know there's craig's list, and i'll have to check out the paper's prices. Any ideas on finding the city laws on posting up signs??
I'm thinking by sunday afternoon, i'll just put a container out and make it donations only, so it goes. And the rest goes to salvation army. Once they say it's ok to sell, it's not coming back into the house.
It'll be my first ever yard sale, so i hope it goes well.

I'm doing a Saturday only garage sale this weekend - the rest of the community is Thurs-Sat.
It's my first garage sale, so I am a little nervous. I have a bunch of clothes (baby, toddler & adult) but little else.
Anyone have last minute tips on decluttering to find more to sell, organizing items for sale or pricing?![]()
We are having one Friday and Saturday. I live on a busy intersection so those signs will be going up tonight. I use tables and clothing racks (I own a cinsignment sale so I have plenty which is nice). My son will be selling water and pop and maybe cookies. He's a cute red head with freckles so he usually does well with that! These funds will go towards summer vacation as well. Good luck. I am curious how much everyone will make and what you have the majority of.
another question...
The house sits on the corner lot. So there's a lot of front yard to work with. And there's a small car port in the back. Some one suggested to put everything in the car port, but it's not visible from the street. Sure it's shaded, but i don't think people will stop by if they can't see what there is to offer.
What do you think... Front yard none shaded or back shaded car port???
I don't personally have an issue with being in the sun all day.
