I'm Gonna Find the Magic in These Magic Bands!! - A Nov 13 PTR - Just Back!

Sadly, history has repeated itself.

This will be the third time in a row going to WDW with a sinus infection,. That means, on vacation, I have to keep up with antibiotics and nose sprays and probiotics.

*sigh*

Alright, the last five posts (now six) have just been me. Guess I was right when I said I might just be rambling to myself! That won't stop me though.

My ride to the airport has fallen through. It's ok, it's for a good reason, but now I will either have my exes mom take me or take a cab - which I was trying to avoid. It's about $40 to take a cab one way to the airport, so it's not too bad, and my friend will still be picking me up on Saturday, so it's not a horrible change.

Touring plans revised their crowd calendars, so I've been reading their blogs after checking their changes. I hope they're right; I like easywdw too but I like to have a lot of different views.

Five more sleeps and I'm on the plane! I'll leave you with this much missed attraction that I wish I could ride one more time.:

Woke up to an email from Disney Destinations this morning that had me a little worried.



Um, what? I was just trying on my magic band last night. At home. And it was green not GREY. What the heck?

Uh oh. Do I not have my FP+ anymore, either?

I ran over to the MDE site, sure that they would all be wiped out (yikes) -- but they were STILL THERE. I thought for sure my FP+ would be gone, but thank God they're all still in order. I wouldn't want to rework my plans right now - but I would.

Got some craziness going on here today; I don't know that I'll be back for awhile. But I am so excited! FOUR SLEEPS.

I CANNOT believe how close it is. I have been busy too, but I do the opposite - the busier I get, the more I post. It's like a nervous tick!: "No time at work? Bogged down? Well, that's the perfect time to post about BWV!!"

Everyone's so busy lately! It's the same around here too! I am a phone reader as well (on lunch, typically), so I hate to enter replies there too and I understand!

I haven't found a new ride to the airport, actually. I moved to my city for my ex, and really didn't make any friends while we were together, so I'm kind of on my own here. My one good friend is on her honeymoon right now and she's already picking me up on Saturday so I don't want to bother her at all about taking me on Tuesday either. My exes mom might take me, but if not, it's a cab! That's ok, I'm not too far from O'Hare! I'd just prefer to have someone I know take me.

I'm still here, too!! I usually only pop in on the weekends because otherwise I'd get sucked in reading reports and go to bed exhausted with a very messy house. Haha.

Ha, I get caught up reading too! I need to go clean as well; I like my house to be SPOTLESS before I go on vacation, especially since people will be in here checking on my place while I'm gone.

Had another crazy thing happen - yesterday morning I heard from my ex. He was in the hospital! Turns out he had appendicitis and had surgery yesterday, so I went to the hospital last night for awhile to visit (I was there from 5-10; visiting hours were over at 8:30 but we just stayed quiet and they left us alone). It was very scary but he's doing SUPER great and I'm so grateful this happened, because he actually was having these appendicitis issues for YEARS. Ever since we met, which has been over 5 years at this point! So yesterday was stressful but the outcome was positive!

So NOW I'm ready to go on vacation!

Okay, I'm going to get caught up before you leave for the trip.

You're going to LOVE the Boardwalk. It's certainly one of my favorite resorts, especially due to its location.

We're actually planning to go to MSI for that exhibit in December.

Nice that your FP+ items transferred over.

I'm concerned a little about mine. It's a hot mess on my end with my annual and all of the accounts that we have. I want to be able to link everything, but I'm listed twice on the account. It's complicated. I'm just hoping that when we hit the 60 day mark, I can go in and it will all be good.

I have skipped AK before on short trips. I love it there too, but truthfully skipping it hasn't been bad. I prefer the other parks so much more.

I believe that Game of Thrones is all about Daenarys.

Ooohhh, a remote starter in your car. That will densely come in handy for our winters!

Maybe they will have everything figured out by then; the holidays will be a good test and also a good training session for IT and they should get a lot more kinks worked out. GOOD LUCK. That's exactly what I thought! Seems we get the best of the winters here; the north and south of my city are often much worse than we are!

Yesterday I spent most of the day shopping, then went to the hospital to keep my ex company while waiting for him to be discharged.

Once we got OUT of there (took almost 4 hours past when they said it would be!), I made some homemade chicken noodle soup:



We hung out last night and I did some laundry, but today I get serious. It's PACKING DAY.

First, I tried to get a different, smaller suitcase. I brought a friend's suitcase home, and here's what I saw:



Hm. Ok, well, looks like I'm packing a big suitcase for this trip! Which is fine, because I have all this to pack:



Now comes the fun part of the trip (sarcasm) as I attempt to play real-life tetris and fit all this (plus some food) into my suitcase.

Two more nights!

It was my first try at making soup and turned out VERY tasty! I left the leftovers at my exes house but almost made another serving at home for myself. If I wasn't going to be on vacation all week I would have!
