I'm going to get flamed....

:confused3 I don't have issues over getting ressies, and I usually make mine last minute.
If there is a place I want to REALLY dine I do make ADRs in advance, just as others do.
Any major issues, I just eat off site, or (gasp) at home! ;) :lmao:

You seem to be just as bad at reading people as you are at making ADRs within an adequate timeframe.

I've been to WDW a grand total of once, and my ADRs were made about two months out, because that was when I discovered that we would be able to go. I had two dinners after 8:00pm, and one TS I had to make a lunch because they had nothing for dinner. I did reschedule some of my ADRs and each time I made a new one, I cancelled the old one. I did not have multiple ADRs so I could pick and choose when I got there. I have already mentioned to you that nobody is arguing you on that point. Everyone here agrees that multiple ADRs are not acceptable. What you don't seem to appreciate is that the current system, where everyone has the same opportunity to book their reservations, is fair to everyone and profitable to Disney.

if you check what i said i think i was asking if you actually do cancel them. You will also notice that in the part where i said to correct myself, if you do cancel them then that is why people have trouble making ADR's. And that is why the 180 reservation time is ridiculous because you said yourself that sometimes you dont feel like what you booked in advance. everyone is saying the 180 days is a good thing but many have said it isnt and even by changing reservations when you get here if you lucky to be able to do that suggests that 180 is too much.

Whether you agree or disagree it is just one of those topics which nobody will completely agree with the others view point, and our suspect us being LOCALS gives us a unique view point which unless you do live here as those who are local agree with us, then people wont appreciate what we are saying. I dont mean to sound like i am degrading what you or others say but i think we do have a uique view point which effects alot of people.

With all due respect, you being a local doesn't change the fact that everyone has the same vantage point in this. You either book early or you run into the risk of not being seated. You being a local doesn't change the fact that this is a HIGH traffic tourist location. This isn't a trip to your local chain restaurant. This is a world wide visited tourist location...and it's going to effect everything. I get that you're frustrated. But when you are living near a place like this, you have to expect it. This isn't a "local spot" even though it's located near you....you're not living in a typical area, therefore you cannot expect it to be like a typical dining experience where you can just walk in and get a seat. It's an internationally known tourist location. I'm sorry it frustrates you, but such is life when you're dealing with Disney World and not your local Olive Garden. Join the rest of us in having to plan ahead.

I think somebody has WAAAAAY too much time on his hands.:sad2:

I can't imagine my Dh coming on a message board to "attack" anyone who didn't agree with my views. .

Maybe you should spend a little less time on Disboards and a little more time making those future ADR's;) .

Well....just an FYI-- my DD is 6 as well and I feel your pain. We had her 5th Bday party at CRT and blew $800 on a slew of little girls who could really care less about the food and were more intrigued with the BBB. But yes, I understand. My DD6 is still wondering why we don't go back to her favorite restaurant which is the PYC which has become extremely substandard...

Oh well..I give up...I knew it was going to be just a rant with many retorts that I should be happy that I live next to the "mouse" and book dining 6 months in advance...

Luckily...I'm cruising on Disney soon...and don't have to book my dining..well..except for Palo...and I thank the Castaway Club for that. Cheers!

You spent what? On what?:scared1: Nevermind...I think I see the problem now. You live on a different planet from me, for sure!:rolleyes1

I can't believe people are "flaming" in here. How would they feel if they couldn't get a meal in their hometown any night of the week they wanted? I do feel your pain.

We love going downtown (Waikiki), but don't even dare it on the weekends and holidays...all the good restaurants are down there but trying to get in on a whim is a joke :sad1:

Uhhh...I'm pretty sure MOST of us can't just walk up to the classiest hot spots in town on a whim and waltz right in (unless said hot spot is the local Arby's, as is the case in some tinier locales). I don't think it's sad...it's simply reality. Not being accustomed to having my way all the time, I plan ahead to avoid such disappointment. I don't expect the world to cater to my every fancy, others be damned!:confused3

I think this sums it up well, even though people think they are right and try to impose their beliefs are correct, just as i expect people think i am doing.

We will have to agree to disagree.
