I'm going to Disneyland!! It's all about WALT

Hi,
So later this month I am going on my first trip to Disneyland and I'll be going solo. My vacation starts on Sunday the 19th October and ends Monday 9th November...okay well technically I don't get home til Wednesday but that's flying and time difference and no fun so that doesn't count. After reading a couple of trip reports on here Ive decided to do my own. So bare with me if I start to rattle off.

I guess this is the part where I give you a little bit more info about me. I'm the same age Walt was when the *******s stole Oswald off him and he went and created Mickey, thus changing my life. I have never done anything as significant as Walt had by the time he was my age but then again who has!! When I was younger I'd always ask to go to Disneyland but my Mum couldn't afford it being a stay at home single parent, although this is the same Mum who refused to buy me a Killer Whale when I was younger, I never wanted a pony though...she's very unreasonable. A few years back I got to go to Disney World for the first time, and have since been back on a second trip, but I am looking forward to being able to go to the original park and knowing that this is the one Walt has walked. So to recap, 26 and love Walt Disney and Killer Whales.

So I've pretty much brought everything I need for this vacation. I've even brought a new camera as the last one has issues after getting wet to many times while I sat front row during Believe at SeaWorld in Orlando...worth it for the pictures though. Below is a pic of my new camera and yes I brought it just because it's pink, I'm a girl...what do you expect? So then I had to go buy a NoteBook to match...plus I wanted one

I wonder if this photo explains why my last camera now has issues...this happened more than once

The plan so far:
Day 1: Fly, go to Griffith Park
Day 2: Universal Studios V.I.P. Tour
Day 3: Tam O'Shanter for lunch, Adventures By Disney Backstage Tour starts that afternoon.
Day 4-7: Adventures By Disney
Day 8: Advenures By Disney tour ends. Fly to San Francisco. Alcatraz Night Tour
Day 9: Walt Disney Family Museum
Day 10: Fly back to Disneyland
Day 11-22: Disneyland, throughout stay will be going to Mickey's Trick Or Treat Party twice, Fantasmic Dessert twice, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on day of TOT Party, Happiest Haunts Tour and A Walk In Walt's Footsteps Tour. The PSs I have are for Goofy's, Ariel's, Cafe Orleans, Lilo and Stitch's, Blue Bayou, most of these I'll be joined by another Disser and her friend (Hi Vala), other days I'll be doing quick service (Mmm Cheese pizza). 2 of these days will be at SeaWorld (days 12 and 19, and will be doing Dine With Shamu and Beluga Whale Interaction)
Day 23: Disneyland, flying home

Yay!! Single Digit Dance...sad thing is the smilies can dance better than I do

Anyway nothing has really been happening on the holiday front. I've been working flat out and am so tired but on the bright side more shopping money for Disney.

So a couple of days ago I received an email from Vacation Planning of my itinerary, a couple of the requests were cancelled so I emailed them back letting them know as they hadn't updated their records. As a spur of the moment thing I requested that they please book the Segway Tour for me, so now I'm going on that tour too. Today I received the final confirmation so now there is nothing left to book unless I add something else LOL.

On another note, my Mum recently brought me a T-Shirt of Fraggle Rock (pictured below) which I loved to watch as a kid...I don't remember much of it now-a-days though. I plan on wearing it on the ABD tour when I go to Jim Henson Studios.

It was going to be my 8th or xxth time going there, i'm just taking my "special" someone for his first time as well as his birthday present, but we had to change it because of his doctors appointments.

can't wait to see the pictures and TR!

I can't get over your mom not buying you a killer whale...I mean, what girl doesn't want an Orca in the backyard, ya know? It's like a rite of passage.


Seaworld has a beluga whale interaction thing? That's cool. I like belugas; they have necks. Our local zoo had them, but managed to kill off two of them inside way too short a time; so they've sent their remaining one elsewhere, and now have harbor seals in that tank. Personally that tank freaks me out now...something's just not right in there.... So I'm sad I can't see them locally anymore. Sigh.

Love the shirt, even though I don't think I ever watched Fraggle Rock.

Such a fun trip! I would love to do the Backstage Magic tour, but so far it's not in the cards. Mostly because it would be faster for us to drive straight to Disneyland. And part of me feels silly taking a tour in a place that I grew up. Most of my extended family still lives really close. But maybe some day I will take the tour anyway.

Thanks. I leave tomorrow and am on pins and needes in anticipation for the trip. I'm taking my notebook so hopefully I'll have time to update this threa while I'm away,if not I'll take lots of notes and it'll be my first priority when I get home....apart from sleep.

That sucks that you had to change your dates. Hopefully everything turns out okay and delaying the holiday made it more worthwhile.

So anyway just popping on for a quick update to say that tomorrow morning at 6:30 I have to wake up and get ready to head out for the Airport. It's just wrong having to be up before 9am on a weekend...unless at Disney and then it's acceptable. Thankfully the sun will be up also so it's not as bad.

Just finished finalising my bags. Speaking of which last Friday I placed an order with www.disneystore.com
I was hoping that items would be delivered on Friday so they could go on vacation with me and to my delight they were in transit for delivery that morning, but by that afternoon they hadn't come yet. I called UPS and basically had a B*tch Fit as they were no longer going to deliver as they got busy, but because they screwed me around they said that the driver had returned the goods to Springvale (about 20min from me) but shortly they would be moving it to Flemington (45min from me). So I received the option of being able to pick it up at either of these locations. I don't drive and had just finished work so I called up Mum and her Fiancee Robert kindly agreed to go get it for me, I brought him some chocolate and Ice Cream as a Thank you. Below are pics from the Disney site of my new bag and wallet that caused so much trouble.

Anyway going to go watch my Snow White Blu-Ray and after that my Disneyland Treasures DVD before I go to bed and as it is I'm not going to be able to sleep.
