I'm Going To Aerosmith Tonight!! Update! Post #1

Can you tell I'm excited!!!!!!

The story; my dsis has a very dear friend who is very very good friends with Tom Hamilton. Well needless to say Tom said tickets will be held at will call for me and dsis.We believed they would be comp. balcony or bloody nose section,but who cares we are going to Aerosmith and we did not have to fork over a mortgage pymnt. When we arrived we went to will call and I noticed a sign hanging in the window that Lenny was ill and would not be performing tonight . Oh well, we really were excited to see him but what can ya do. Anyways we go to the counter and show i.d, the girl looks for our tickets and can't find them. She asks who reserved them and sis says Tom H., the ticket girls says "is he in the band" lololol. sis replies yes and she directs us to the VIP check in . Low and behold we check in and (are ya ready) FLOOR SEATS!!!!!!! We walk outside to the masses and enter the non crowded FLOOR entrance. When we walk in there is a lounge with leather couches, bar and tables. First stop restroom. Next we enter the forum to see where our seats are. After several ticket checkpoints we reach a man who looks at our tickets. He says " you just made it,front stage section, please procede forward and get your special wristbands" we about died. I looked at sis and said "can you believe this we are so close we can TOUCH THEM"!!!!!!! The concert was incredible, we had such a great time. Highlights were Livin on the Edge and Sweet Emotions. Let me tell ya If anyone wants to know what Steven or Joe P. look like upfont or rear lol I can tell you!!! The night was amazing!!! and I am still on cloud nine! Dina

Have a great time! I have seen them about 5-6x but I haven't seen them for awhile. I am sure its going to be a great show!!

I LOVE Aerosmith (can't you tell by my signature?) You will have an AWESOME time! I can't count how many times I have seen them. I go everytime they come around - sometimes twice if they are here for two shows. Unfortunately, this was the first time I missed them in YEARS!As "my boyz" were playing, I was having surgery. My only recourse is that they are continuing the tour and will most likely come back here in the summer for a Jones Beach or MSG show (yep, fingers are crossed).

Have a blast and make sure you come back with a full report of the set list, etc.

I logged into Aeroforce One the day the Tampa presales happened... and I looked.. and I debated... and I CRIED!

It was just in the middle of Christmas shopping... and I knew I had a meeting here at work tonight that would keep me here 'til 7:00 - so I'd miss Lenny, anyway...

...But now, of course, I'm regretting it...

Cool. Full report please. I go on the 25th. It'll be my 3rd or 4th show (how bad is it that I can't remember) so I'm sure they will be excellent as always.

I saw Lenny Kravitz with The Rolling Stones and was not impressed, hopefully it'll be better!

How cool! Glad you had a blast.

I'm sorta sad because there is a chance I won't be able to go next week. Our sitter has canceled and we have no one else. I have a friend that can watch DS until 8pm or so. I'm praying that my sitter is available to come over around 8 or we are out of luck.

Either than or DH is staying home and I'm taking a friend, lol.

How long did the concert last. I assume w/out LK it was over rather early or did they have a substitute opening act?

The concert was supposed to start at 7:30, they did have a fill in for Lenny( someone local) but I can't remember her name. Aerosmith took the stage at about 9:30 and played till about 11:30. I think they played a few extra songs because Lenny did not perform.
