I'm getting ready to bury St. Joseph...

We buried it and a week after we had an offer. He is sitting on my dresser now. Last summer when we were digging up the flower bed of our new house we found 3.

I did it, but it didn't seem to help much. It might be because you are supposed to buy him upside down. Well, I took the easy way out and tried to push him into the ground with my foot. His head snapped off. I buried both parts, but it took months to sell the house.

It's a Catholic tradition.

You bury St. Joseph in your yard when you are getting ready to sell your house...say prayers every day asking for help from St. Joseph, and then the house sells quickly.

I have known people selling their houses of many faiths that used Saint Joseph and it worked. You must bury St. Joseph upside down. I had a friend that did not and when she reburried him upside down the house sold with in a week!

The key to making it work, I think, is believing in the power of it. I understand there are many Jewish people who swear by St. Joseph. He was, afterall, a Jewish Carpenter.

BTW, They call him the Underground Real Estate Agent...

We did that and didn't sell our house for 2 years! Seriously, I went out and dug it up and we sold our house that weekend. Don't know if it was just coincidence but we will never bury him again. LOL!

When I first read the title of the thread, I thought that someones pet had died. :rotfl:

Feralpeg... :rotfl2:

I did, he hasn't helped yet. Maybe I need to move him to a different spot?

I would. Good luck!

Ya learn something new everyday. Very interesting, the things people believe in. Good luck, to everyone trying to sell a house. I know how frustrating it can be.

We buried St. Joe and we're not Catholic. Our house sold 3 weeks later but I dont really think it was because of St. Joe - it was just the market picking up.

have any of you done it?

Nope. But my old neighbors did. The house was on the market for about 6 months. Then they decided to bury St. Joseph. The house remained on the market for another year and then they filed bankruptcy and lost the house to forclosure. Before leaving the house though they destroyed it (let the kids play hockey inside, disconnected the sump pump and all of the downspouts, tore up the inground pool liner, etc etc) The house sat empty for another year (during which time the mortgage company came every 3 months or so to pump out the basement) and finally a contractor moved in and totally rehabed the thing--looks like a parade of home house inside now!

Hmmm.....Wonder if St. Joseph is buried in the front yard still. Maybe he only works for NICE people???

Where would one buy St. Joseph? Hey, I am willing to give it a shot? Just bury him upside down and say a prayer every day? Anything else?
