I'm feeling SO lost already!! It's must be "just before the trip stress" or something. I'm so afraid we are going to get there and miss something or not plan well (this is our very first trip). I've gotten great tips from a friend that's been there about which rides to hit first, fast passes and the extra magic hours. The one good thing is she and her family will be down there on Monday for a week, so I'll see her and hopefully she can give us more tips. But you know I can't expect them to hold our hands and stuff.

Anyone have last minute advice or what is the most important thing I should remember?

We are staying at the All Star Music resort. When we get there will we easily find out from the staff where the shuttle service is, etc?

Thanks for any last minute advice anyone has. I just want to make sure my children really get the most out of this trip as who knows when we'll be able to get back there again (hope to though!)

Hiya :wave2:

CALM DOWN! :)

My best advice would be to read you plan for the day each morning but then go with the flow, Take time for rests so you kids dont get cranky and so long as you keep to your schedule for the main bits (which park at what time etc) then let your kids dictate the pace.

REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thank you for telling me to calm down LOL! I think I needed that. Yes, a park a day that is definitely in the plans. I was also told it's best to go to the Animal Kindom in the morning when it's cooler so the animals will be out and about. So one morning we'll plan on going there and then if we decide in the afternoon we've had enough of the AK we'll head to MK.

Good advice though! I think when we get there tomorrow later afternoon we'll settle in the hotel and once we get a map (: decide which parks to go to which days. I also would like to take the kids to a show (posted about that on another thread) and hope we can make reservations for one of them after we arrive.

Thank you again,

Kelle

Assuming you have park hopper passes, the most important rule we've come up with is: when a park gets to busy, GET OUT, and either go to another park or go swimming and come back later! Second most important, remember you are on vacation, and the idea is to rest and relax. You don't have to feel guilty about not being a park commando. It's all about fun, not stress!!!

I have never been, but I think the best advice I can give you is ENJOY!! Everything will come together and if you spend the entire time stressing out was it really worth all the planning??
Chill Out and HAVE FUN!

Hiya :wave2:

Glad to help.

AK is best on a morning (as a rule) due to cooler weather.

Take your kids to a couple of the free shows at the parks before spending any extra money on one. The festival of the lion king at AK is excellent with a lot of encouragment for kids to dance (in thier seats) and sing along.

Have fun. I wish I was going tomorrow!

If you have EMH available for a certain park get up early and go. You will get so much done in such a short time. You can always head back to the resort for somedown time when the park starts to get crowded in the afternnoon.

Don't underestimate rest breaks.

Thank you everyone!

Yes, we have the park hopper tickets. I just got done typing our itinerary and included all the dates for this coming week for which parks have either the extra morning magic hour or evening magic hours. How long are the evening hours? I had heard 3 hours after the park closes but wasn't sure.

It's nice to have a schedule to use as reference for which parks we want to go to. Also my friend who's been there numberous times told me which rides to hit first, etc. So that helps :teeth:

I'm SO excited! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Hope I can sleep tonite!

Yes, they stay open 3 hours after regular park hours. Have Fun!

It sounds like you're well prepared. Don't second guess yourself. When you enter the park get a map and a times & new information guide. There's also an EMH schedule that lists rides and attractions.

Have a great trip.!
