I'm Engaged!

Hi all!

Just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Lauren and my boyfriend, Josh, and I got engaged on July 2! We live in NY, but are planning a destination Disney wedding.

We haven't decided on a place yet or any of the details, in fact we are still trying to figure out a date LOL.

Congratulations & welcome to the boards! Your ring is so pretty! We are planning for 2010 as well (I also like the sound of it! )-either early December or early 2011 (whichever is cheaper-we are saving up now!)

Thank you! I will definitely go check out the website. We are hoping to take a weekend to fly down to Orlando in Sept to check out some locations.

We are inviting about 150/175, but aren't sure how many will come since they have to travel far. But, we feel we are giving plenty of notice for people to save up/plan their vacation time around our wedding, so if they want to come they can.

It's so hard to judge how many people out of the number we are inviting are going to come since we haven't even set a date yet--or even a season LOL.

Hopefully this week we can sit down and come up with something. Everyone's asking, and I want to know when our wedding will be too!

Hey! Well, you should definately focus on the Custom/Fairy Tale Wedding Package (the other package-Escape-is for 18 or less guests). You will have ALOT of options with such a large guest list! There are several designated ceremony sites (at the deluxe resortsand on the Boardwalk), but you can also choose to have receptions at any of the restaurants or actual theme parks! People have gotten very creative with their receptions-holding them in different Epcot countries, ride attractions, etc...Have fun planning!!

My DF Josh and I are thinking of having the exact same colour scheme as you and your Josh! We haven't set a date...or even a year yet...but know the colour scheme and basic plan of locations!
