VDH Questions for Purchasing

So if you plan to use your 150 points in 2026 only at VDH, expect total tot of $444.15 in addition to the $1580.31 in annual dues or a total of $2024.46.

Getting a bill at checkout for hotel room really ruins the joy of staying at DVC! It's always nice to checkout of DVC room and get a $0 bill for the hotel room part.

Not including everything else we charge to the room.

Hi folks,

Anyone else here East Coast based and with a family of 5? I've looked at VDH since it opened, but with studios only sleeping four, we are down to 1 bedroom options (which are limited at around 20 or so). That has always held me back. Anyone have any issues at 11 months? (Barring Xmas week, which we would avoid anyway).

Thanks in advance :)
We’ve not had any problems booking 1 and 2 bedrooms at 11 months but I do worry as over time more and more people will have resale points they can only use at VDH how that will impact booking.

Its funny I own here because I am a one bedroom girl, but it totally makes sense because I always stay in studios in cali because the stays are so short so believe it or not, owning points here saves me money in so many different ways ❤️

Thanks, yes that is my concern, probably the only reason I haven't joined the club here. I guess I look at it (trying to remain positive) there are 4 "towers" there, and if the Discovery tower sells, they would "redo" another tower and make it part of DVC, adding to options.

I am also generally optimistic about what Disneyland Forward will bring in the next few years, so trying to decide if this incentive period is where I jump in. This thread has helped :)

Welcome Aboard Here! Unfortunately both DVC sites, west coast, are 4 Studio 5 One Bedroom. They did build VDH very studio heavy.

For VDH, if you need the occupancy, will have a hard time year round to get any extended nights for larger villas. Need that 11 month priority. Otherwise stuck having to get two studios.

(Can’t answer your east coast question. I’m out in the Wild West).

Don’t see this ever happening. Towers are so old. Wouldn’t be good to start tearing it up in those. (Another wing at VGC better chance, if cash bookings slide again). Won’t change Pixar. The big unknown is how they will really design the Toy Story lot moving “Forward”.

By that time they might be ready for a new resort & include DVC.

And it will have TOT at checkout.

Ok this is the part where im gunna be annoying again cuz im signing this thing lol, I thought we paid for this in our dues.

Jump! You wont regret it! There is no cheaper time than now. Once Disneyland forward opens and its a million dollars to buy here, u can brag with all of us that we were here since before that happened 🤣🤣

The last time I paid to have my haircut was before I got married. 12 years ago #lazyandfrugal
Do you cut it yourself? I literally told myself yesterday im going to try to barter, my friend can come with us for free in the summer if she does my hair extensions for free which is a pretty fair trade AND Non-taxable for the other thread lol!
