I'm engaged!!

Well as the title says my engagement is official! Sean and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary on Sunday. We went and had dinner at the Blue Bayou in DLR, and in between dinner and dessert the waiter brought out a silver platter that had flowers and a treasure chest filled with chocolate coins. In between the coins was my ring! When I first looked at it I wasn't sure what it was, and I was thinking "we haven't ordered dessert yet? All of a sudden I see the ring and look over at Sean and he's already down on one knee! It was absolutly perfect! Thank you! I'm not sure how soon i'm going to start a planning journal; being that the wedding is almost 2 full years away LOL. I have no idea where to start when it comes to planning a wedding. I have basic ideas for my dress but other then that nada.......zip....zilch....squat. Colors, flowers, Dj vs band........venue, food etc...........oy......how do you all manage it and still stay sane? Im positive a Disney wedding is out. I'd love to get married at DLR rose garden but for the $$ and the # of guests allowed to attend it just won't work.......i'm looking at at least 30 people.......but maybe as many as 70. My mom is thrilled and already calling me up with ideas.....her latest? My dog as the ring bearer..........yeah......so not gonna happen. Love my baby boy, but he's not walking down the isle LOL This will definetly be interesting

OMG Congratulations!!!!!!!! The craziest thing is that DF and I ate in the Blue Bayou for dinner on Sunday (the 24th) Our ADRs were for 7:30pm, so I wonder if we were there at the same time!!! I even got the dessert with that treasure chest and thought what a creative cute (edible!) container to use for something like an engagement! How strange that the exact thing happened to you the same day! YAY! How exciting!!! I'm so happy for you and your fiance!

My DF and I were engaged in Disneyland last year... actually we were in DLR last weekend to celebrate 1 year of being engaged... and our wedding isn't until January 2009, so you're in good company!

Thank You everyone for your kind wishes and congrats! I really love my ring, it's perfect for me kashmir how funny! Our ADR's were for 6:20 but we got there at 6 and were seated [waterside] about 5 minutes later!! I'm sure you were there while we were because we didn't leave until at least 7 but I think it was closer to 7:30! I'll have to start my planning journal soon....being almost 2 years out i'm not sure how soon I should start..... any ideas?
