"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

I was a "lurker" on your other reports, but coming out of hiding for this one. Looking forward to reading about your trip. Now to go back and catch up!

This morning I was headed for HOLLYWOOD! I have to admit that DHS is my least favorite park. HOWEVER, coming from me, that means absolutely nothing.

LOVE THIS because it's SO TRUE. I don't love Animal Kingdom or DHS quite as much as the other parks, but it's Disney, so I do still love them!

Sounds like a super fun morning in Hollywood! I love that One Man's Dream movie - it is so inspiring, and it's always fun to hear about Walt. And also it's air conditioned.

I think I am a little late to the party but nevertheless, I love your TR! A couple of things:

1) That is way cool that you got see those pearly gates so close to your room- I didn't know POP was right there! NEAT-O!!

2) I hope we can catch a movie one night.. We are hoping to slow down some this year!

3) I can't wait to see New Fantasyland and I am excited about seeing the bathrooms!! HAHA

I lost my last laptop to what might have been the same backlight problem. I was using it normally when all of a sudden the screen just went black and never came back on. Apparently, it wasn't worth it to fix because I guess it's super expensive?? Luckily I was able to shine a super bright flashlight on the screen and it lightened it just enough to see so that I could put all my data/pics and whatnot onto flash drives!

Hello my friend!!

I will try not to be too offended that DHS is low on your rankings. I know you still like it but PLEASE...sometimes I think it may be equal to MK for me. (Then again, my obsession may be borderline unhealthy, so take that as you will.)

HOW EXCITED ARE YOU FOR THE MOVIE "SAVING MR.BANKS?" Yeah. I know. I'm FREAKING out. It's going to be so awesome and magical and perfect and I just can't even. AHHHH. Freaking out.

Also. 101 Dalmatians...love them! Do you remember when McDonalds used to actually have cool, interesting things that came with meals? Like all the puppy ornaments...101 of them, I'm pretty sure! We had so many and I loved them and they were perfect. I really loved that movie. I had this awesome computer game of it and...man! I just really loved that movie!

The GMR makes me laugh. I've honestly gotten the gangster/cowboy sides exactly equal amount of times without trying. I would never had known one got shown more than the other if it weren't for the Disboards.

I hope you are going back for Ralph and Vannelope. As you know...I LOOOOVVVVEEE them. Everyday I look in the mirror and think, "hmm...should I complete this look with sprinkles in my hair?" But sadly, I don't have sprinkles, so I can't. Rough life.

Frozen shall be awesome! Can't wait for that. SO MANY GREAT DISNEY MOVIES TO LOOK FORWARD TO! 2013 = amazing.

our laptop acted up for awhile, but of course, we didn't try to save anything from it..then 'poof'...it up and died and we lost a bunch of stuff

Uggghhh, laptop problems are the worst. Good thing you prepared for that. I so far have not been good at that and it definitely makes the whole laptopless situation much more difficult than it should be. Hope you'll get it fixed soon!

P.S. Love the Wicked references you added into the last update. I can't believe you know which is which without seeing the show. You've got to get yourself over to Broadway now and see it, I can tell already you will love it.

The One Where This Must Be… POP!

I started my tour of Pop Century in the most logical place I could think of: the place where I already was. Makes sense, right? HA.​

OMG! When we stayed at Pop I was in 80s too! It's all coming back to me now... I thought how appropriate it was at the time b/c I was born in '78, but grew up in the 80s, and tend to uh... kind of still live in it a lot of the time. XD

I love this stack of floppy discs. It reminds me so much of EARLY elementary computer lab. Back then I could type 3 words in an hour. Talent.

Good LORD I'm old. When I took computer class our disks were actually floppy. Big and black and floppy. XD

I walked along a path on the outside of the resort for a while because I figured it would take me to the next section. It was starting to get dark, which meant the sun was beginning to set! I came upon the Hourglass Lake where you can see across to Art of Animation, and I saw the most beautiful scene!

Ahhh, another big difference... when I was there they hadn't finished construction on AoA! Man, time flies when it comes to WDW changing and finishing their projects. So amazing! Those pictures are beautiful. We walked around some our first night, but it was February so it got dark pretty quick, plus with two young kids... not as much time to take it all in.

I liked that the 80's buildings had Pac Man on them. That's basically the only video game I've ever played, so it's my favorite! Hahaha. I've actually been on a huge Pac Man kick lately for some reason, so it was a funny coincidence.

I LOVED this building just because of the Play-Doh. I was absolutely obsessed with Play-Doh when I was younger. It was my favorite thing to play with!

My favourite thing about the Play-Doh part is the thumbprints on the elephant's ears and stuff. Little details mean SO much

I went into the store and got some floss (which was AWFUL, by the way) and did a little bit of pin browsing! I ended up getting a Pop Century pin (because I collect pins of each of the resorts I stay at) and a Splash Mountain pin!

Can I just say I LOVE that idea? I really want to buy pins but I have a hard time collecting without a particular thing to collect. If I don't have a set of parameters I end up trying to collect EVERYTHING, lol. The very reasonable parameter of "resorts I have stayed at" would be PERFECT!

Then I went into the food court and filled up my mug and got a tie-dyed cheesecake to go!

Those are CRAZY good. Though I might be biased because I like things that have colours in them, regardless of taste. It's like things taste better to me if they have bright colours. 9_9

AND I am now caught up! Yay! I don't have as much specific that I feel a need to reply to on this chapter so no quoting. I personally love DHS, it's tied with MK for me as my favourite park, and I like to start my trips there. Somehow it's just the "here I am!" park for me.

I'm so glad you did the write-up of the Jack Sparrow attraction! We're thinking of doing that, but I didn't know that about the mermaids. My daughter can be a little bit squeamish of things like that and so I'll have to check them out and see what they look like and judge by that. (I've only seen the first 3 movies. not the 4th.)

Good luck getting your laptop issues sorted out... I think something like this happened to my husband too. Pain in the BUTT. I hope there is a fix coming for you soon!

Hmmm, I did not know that about the Great Movie Ride! I feel like I've been pretty equal in seeing the gangster or the cowboy scene. I'll have to try it next time!

Repeating what I said on Twitter, that really stinks about your computer! And now we're at a suspenseful part! Seriously though, fingers crossed that you're able to continue updating again soon. My 4+ year old laptop is limping along, so I know how it feels to be frustrated by computer problems.
