I found other ways to make money with less work.

Good luck.

I'm curious too. What other ways? I'm on a roll now and am open to any suggestions from fellow dis'ers!

I just sent in an application. When you say you are being paid, is that actual money you are making, or is it in products, free meals, etc...? I'd love to hear more websites to sign up with, since I'm a SAHM...

In my case most of the time both. For example, I have done a lot of fast foods and they pay you the meal plus a fee (ex. $2.89 meal + $15.00 fee).

Some websites you can check:

www.shopncheck.com (to apply is: http://www.applyshopnchek.com)
www.beyondhello.com
www.cybershoppersonline.com
www.pacificresearchgroup.com (most of the time with digital camera)
www.videoeyes.net (mystery shop with video camera)
www.feedbackplus.com

There are a lot more!! these are only a few.

Has anyone used the cybershoppersonline? Their website also says RoperNop. I'm pretty sure I've almost signed up with them before, but something made me unsure about the application process. If you do shops for them, please let me know how you like their company, and if them seem to be reputable! Thanks! :wave2:

edited to add.... Ok, what about pacificresearchgroup? Since I do this at work, I am so concerned about downloading programs to this computer! I would love to hear some feedback from another shopper with this company. Thanks again!! :teeth:

I was all set to fill information for one Marketing Endeavors to get started, however, why do they need my social security number? I don't think I need to give that out yet.

They need it for tax purposes you would be an independent contractor but they provide the gov't with what you earned, you are responsible for your own taxes, keep in mind when you mystery shop you are put into a new tax section you are considered self employeed but there are lots of write offs

Being self employed is WONDERFUL for all of the tax write offs! Gee, you just reminded me that I have to get busy working on my taxes to send to the CPA! :hourglass

OK, I just signed up yesterday and I already have a Mystery Shop scheduled!! I have some questions about reporting on taxes. Can you write off mileage? What are some other things you can write off. I think I'm really going to like this! I've decided instead of putting the extra money in my Disney account I'm going to put it towards my DS education.

Does anyone know about RetailReportCard.com? There was an ad, and when I put in my zip code, it stated my area was in high demand. It gave a choice of local stores to shop at....:cool1:

I just did the same thing and it also told me my area was in high demand... granted we are both in mass so it might have something to do with that there might not be people in mass that use them but who knows....

Yes, they are Roper. My experience with them has been excellent, they always pay me on time.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents worth. I did the same thing and it said my area was in high demand and I could receive $1,000 gift card.......then I scrolled to the bottom. The fine print said something about charge every month and some other things. Maybe you should go take a second look.

When I entered my zip code it said my area is high demand and I would recieve a Sony Laptop & a $1000 gift card. The "rules" state that you msut do 6 shops to receive your free gift(s). You have 3 months to do this, the company has 2 months to report back about your report, you can then print off a certificate to mail in to get your gift(s), which will be mailed in about 2 months (if approved). The gift card must then be spent at the store location they pick and you must do a report for that shop. You must spend at least 90% of the gift card at that time.

I checked the BBB and this company (Consumer Research Corporation) has had 78 complaints since Aug. 2004.

My small town has an add in the paper from baidata.com for banks here. You might want to check your area. It says earn $10-$12 each visit. If you bank were they need it it would be a good deal. Also what do you put in the aplication about yourself?

Yes, it is RoperNop. I have shopped for them numerous times. They are a wonderful company, fast paying also. You need to download software for PRG. I wouldn't do it on my work computer, you could lose your job.

I am a Gold Certified Shopper. And yes it has helped me get jobs. But the fact that I do my job, and don't "flake", and hand in excellent reports, also helps me get jobs. I have $130.00 fine dining reimbursed dinner on Friday night at a restaurant I probably would never have gone too.

All mystery shopping quesitons and list of companies can be found at www.volition.com.

They are a real and reputable mystery shopping company. They do alot of bank shops, and others.

Just remember, mystery shopping isn't as easy as it sounds. You need to do detailed narratives on most shops. Your work will be checked for grammar and spelling, and you will lose points if you have too many errors. There is alot of shopping competition out there. You need to have excellent observation skills, and be detail oriented.

Oh, BTW, WDW is SHOPPED!! :) And yes, I know this for a fact!!!!

Okay, I signed up with about 15 companies on Monday. Do I need to check each job board everyday or will they email me? The companies say they'll email me, but I don't want to miss anything. There doesn't seem to be a lot in my area, which I find strange!

Thanks everyone! I hope I get to do this too!

If the sites you registered with have job boards, then you must check them. If you really want work, you must check them multiple times a day. If they only email you when they have work, then you wait. If the job boards have nothing now, then that is probably the jobs are gone. They are posted throughout the month, depending on the company. Go to www.volition.com and read. Certain companies post at certain times. Certain companies are self assign, which means you pick the job and it is instantly yours. Some companies have you apply, and you may only hear if you get the job. Some let you know that you didn't get it. They are all different. It takes a lot of computer work to get to know which companies shop in your area, and when they post. It is a learning process. Your best bet to get your feet wet, is to register with some self assign companies. Search volition to find out which they are.

Happy Shopping!! I have about 6 hours of writing to do for 2 shops this weekend. Fun stuff!!!!!!!
