I'm craving sweet potatoes!!!

Someone started a thread about butcher shops and it got me thinking about the sweet potatoes they carry at the shop here.

I bake my sweet potatoes for 4 hours so that they get so sweet that it tastes like your eating pure sugar. Then I let them get cold. They've been baked so long that the skin falls right off. I just wrap a cold one in a paper towel and eat it with a spoon. Yum! I need to go the butcher shop again

How do you cook your sweet potatoes?

We steam ours. My daughter asked me for some last week....better go steam them now.

Yeah, yams. I never call em' that. Makes me think of yam pie...yech

Why screw up a perfectly good sweet potato?

For us, sweet potatoes are Okinawan purple sweet potatoes.

I just nuke 'em for a few minutes. My Mom loves sweet potatoes.
