Now I know it's January, but it's rather chilly down here. I wouldn't care if it were a week or a few days but it is forecasted to be cold pretty much for the duration of my 19 nights. Granted, it's not -18 like it was at home. LOL

But it is fun anyway. Just trying to do a sun dance or something to warm things up a bit.

Schools are closed today (-32 with wind chill this morning), so my girls and I are doing some trip planning - only 69 more days until we leave..!

It doesn't. Actually my husband (who had to leave to go back to work) got home and it was 18 below zero (actual temp) in Omaha with 40MPH winds. He had to chase garbage cans that had blown down the street and said, when I complained I was cold, that a 60-70 degree difference is doin pretty good. LOL
So it goes. Kids are tired today and sluggish doing their schoolwork. But as soon as they finish I think we will hit a park or two.

Hey Omaha! I used to live in Belleview about a hundred years ago when I was a kid! I remember those below zero days well, having spent all my life til then in middle GA... Nebraska is brutal! One good thing, if it's that cold in FL the sky is probably also clear as crystal. Have a great trip, and think warm thoughts

It is clear and beautiful out today. Yesterday was very dreary and cold. But today, with the chilly temps, the sun was shining and it made it all ok. Of course, my nose hair could be freezing in Nebraska. LOL

Hang in there. Sunday should be gorgeous!!! And, maybe a little rain Monday, but the weather should be getting beautiful.
Shan-man is correct. When it's this cold, the sky during the day is bright, clear and a wonderful sparkling blue.
