I'm changing the dates unless you stop me!

Go the last week of Sept.!!! We did this this past year and I have never seen it so empty! There were mostly no waits on any rides and if one said ten min. it really wasn't. You just walked right on. The parks themselves were also empty just walking around and Disney transportation was never full on any bus or monorail or boat we got on. The night we went to Epcot we walked up to Illuminations starting at the last minute and the railing wasn't even full. Even the bridge between England and France had very few people. It was almost weird. We were leaving on Sept. 29 and people were pouring into the Beach Club to check in. Once I was home I started reading live reports to see how busy it had gotten and it sounded packed. You can look up trip reports from those dates and see the difference. I am trying to go in Jan. next year because I hear that is the only time that can compare to Sept. crowd levels. I have been the first week in Dec. and the second week in Oct. in the past 3years and nothing compared to Sept.! Good Luck

In other words, please help me justify what I'm about to do. Last week I started a thread asking which week is better between September 24 through October 2 2006 and October 1 through October 9 2006. Right now we're scheduled for the latter but I'm seriously considering changing to the week of 9/24 because I think the crowds will be lighter that week. Please give me your feedback so when I tell my DH that I'm making another change to the reservation I can say my Dis buddies thought it was a good idea. :rotfl:

We went the week of Sept 22nd in 2003, almost a walk on for everything... real light crowds... AND then this year I figured lets go in October we arrived there Oct 10 - 17th... Well, the crowds were unbelievable.... I come from Mass and we have Dec, Feb and April vacations for school... I guess in the South they have Fall vacation!!! HUGE crowds!!! I would say in this case a week does really make a difference... Go and Enjoy....

We always go the third week in September. It's still hot, but never crowded. If you go in October, you run into MNSSHP and F&W crowds.
