I'm Brave, I'm Bold..i Have An Adr At San Angel Inn!!!

How spicy is this? At the moment I'm dithering between this and the Plato mexicano, but trying to work out which is the milder of the two (Yes I'm a baby!)

The Pollo a las Rajas is SOOOO good  !! It is not spicy at all. I am right there with you - not too fond of food that is too spicy. I think you should go for it!

San Angel Inn is our family's MUST DO the first night we arrive at DW.
It's our tradition. Every trip starts with San Angel Inn.
We always have a great time.
We always order Pollo ala Rajas. My kids favorite. I make it at home now.
It's chicken with peppers, onions, sausage and cheese.

Enjoy...

Same with us!:thumbsup2 We go to WDW every year, since 1998, and SAI is our traditional first night dinner - my girls wouldn't have it any other way. I really have no complaints with the food. Past years, I've ordered a red snapper dish that was yummy - not too spicy. Besides, if you're not liking the food, just order another margarita - after a couple of those, the food will taste just fine!:lmao:

I've kept my adr despite the reviews. Although, it is for lunch, so I'm thinking not too costly if it is that bad. But I will be positive. popcorn::

Mole: It's not chocolate like chocolate bar at all. It's chocolate like aztec royalty. It's chocolate like nirvana. It's...lovely. It's so good that I can't wait for January!!

I like this restaurant. I think the theming inside is one of the coolest in the parks.
Try to get there a little early to request riverside seating, you won't regret it. It will make you feel like one of the only ones eating there. I have to recommend the corn soup, yummy. It is really smooth (I think they puree it) and the cheese they put on top is so tasty. I would go again just to order a big serving of that soup.
I can't believe I never tried the mole chicken, after these reviews I want to go back and order it :goodvibes
I think lunch is a better bet, especially right around the opening time (11) it's not that crowded and the food is really fresh. Have a great meal!

This is a very welcome thread. We have it down for our first night, but the reviews in more than one place have been quite negative, and I've been thinking of trying to change it. DW asked to eat here, and I'd like to "check it off" our list as we have not eaten here since 1992. So I guess we'll stick with it!

I've eaten at SAI several times, and have always been pleased with the meal. I think sometimes it gets a bad rap around here :teeth: you'll have a great time.

We always enjoy it there! I know this is a place that gets mixed reviews, but we have always enjoyed it.

San Angel is really good. We ate there for lunch in may during our honeymoon and The chips and dip are really good to start off yummy and well I love mexican food. definitely go there!!!
