I'm back!!!

Welcome back!

So how did it go? Not enough planning? Too much planning? Just right?

Any pleasant surprises? Disappointments?

Fill us in!!!

I thought it was the right amount of planning :)

I was disappointed with Epcot's EMH and sorta disappointed in MK's EMH. During EMH time it was crowded or more crowded than what it was during the day. AK's EMH is great and I recommend it.

I was surprised hearing so many people on the boards saying they hated Animal Kingdom and it can be done by noon. Um, no it can't. We started at 9:15 AM and by 5PM we still hadn't done Dinosaur or Primeval Whirl. We needed EMH to do those and the safari one more time. Of course on this day normal closing was at 5 so maybe other times when it closes at 7 or so would have been enough time. I recommend going and doing safari during EMH. At 9:15AM the wait was already 30 minutes and by 11AM it was 1 hour. During EMH it was walk on. This park is definately a full day park and it was our favorite park out of all 4.

I didn't like EMH at Epcot at all. Soarin at 4PM wait was posted at 55 minutes... We got a fast past then when we got back we looked at the stand by line and no way was this 55 minute wait. They really need to work on the wait times. During EMH it was posted at 100 minutes and the line looked 3 times as long as it did during the day. Crazy if you ask me. FW was mobbed. illuminations was cool.

MGM was not crowded really. Only waited 10 minutes for the rides, saw WWTBM, L!M!A!, Fantasmic. Didn't care that much for Fantasmic - it was good but little confusing to follow.

MK we went on Saturday. It seemed very crowded there. Only waited 30 minute waits for space mt, Buzz Lightyear... they posted 55 min for Pooh and 75 for Peter Pan..but Pooh line looked more like a 10 minute line.. Peter pan did look long though... didn't get on peter pan.. after riding 3 rides where you just sit and look at characters got little old. Splash Mt also about 30 minute wait. Got to see Spectro Magic - parked myself in Liberty Square about 30 min before parade time and got in the front. Watched Wishes :) Wishes was the best fireworks.

There was just so much to do and to comment on I don't know what else to say. oh, IoA too us 2.5 hours. That place is small... we got there when it opened and was done before noon.

Did you use ME? if so what was your expreince? also did you all do MYW dining? maybe a dining report on the restaurant boards.

Glad you had a great time, share your magic!! :goodvibes

Are you going to write a trip report? If not, give us some details here!! :flower: Glad you had a great trip!

How crowded were your evening EMHs?

Animal Kingdom - not crowded at all! The park was crowded during the day until after the parade...then finally room to walk! It was awesome!

Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland and Fantasy land were crowded... when we went to Frontierland it seemed less crowded...walked on Big Thunder railroad.. Space Mt had a 30 minute wait...Stitch was about 15 minutes... it felt just as crowded during EMH as it did on Saturday when we went... I guess a lot of stuff is open though so people at least have a lot of rides to get on.

Epcot - Very crowded during EMH... Couldn't re-ride soarin because it was more than 1 hour wait (well they said 100 minutes but I doubt it would be that long but definately more than 40 minutes probably). All we got to do was stuff we didn't get to see earlier - living seas (cute), honey shrunk audience (yuck), spaceship earth (boring!)...

Sorry so much to write! yea I need to work on a Trip Report - never wrote one before!

We did ME. There wasn't anyone to greet us though. We had to wander around the airport and finally found the ME station. Shuttle was nice. Our luggage made it :)

We did the MYW dining plan. It was great to be able to get all that food and snacks! I liked it because the portions are so small. If I was only to eat an entree I'd probably be still starving.

Did your husband let you eat everywhere you wanted to? Or did you McD's it every day? :earboy2:

Glad that you had a good time. I,too, like AK and think it is a bit underrated. How did you like Festial of Lion King. That is one of our favorite shows. How was the fast pass for Soarin'? Did you still have a long wait. We go next month and we are getting so excited. :flower:

Loved the Lion King show.
For the Soarin Fast Pass we didn't have to wait. Just got to go right in and line up for your rows and wait for the previous showing to let out. It's a neat ride.

Did you feel like the MYW dining was a good value for the two of you? We are considering it for our trip next year but want to make sure it saves us money. :)

Actually yes I did. To be honest I originally planned 3-4 sitdown meals. Just budgeting those out we would be better off with the dining plan! So I went ahead with the dining plan and we had 7 sit down meals (we shared two of them and used 1 credit for those). I think almost all the restaurants at the parks and resorts take the dining plan and all the snack carts do. The only ones I saw that didn't were some of the snack places at the water parks and they had a sign posted.

Did you see any guests being turned away at sit down restaurants because they didn't have any PS's?

How was ME service on your way back from your trip?

What did you think of your resort? Too spread out? What building were you in?

Yes at CRT for lunch a few people in front of us were trying to do walk up and they were turned away. One night we were going to try ot go to Le Cellier (even know I knew no PS's were available but we thought we'd ask) and the people in front of us were turned away so no point us asking. We were able to go to Chef de France. This was last minute since we weren't originally going to go to Epcot but figured we'd go back since we didn't see all the countries.

At other restaurants, the only people we saw get turned away at Sci Fi was some guy who had a party of 12 or something like that. Other than that it was fine - actually we walked up to Sci Fi right after the parade (we were standing near the restaurant for the parade) and got a table right away. More people came in afterwards but it wasn't booked.

At Boma's we didn't see anyone turned away either.

At Ohana's our PS was at 8:20 but we saw walk-ups and they accepted them but with a 1 hour wait.

Donald's - I don't know if anyone was turned or not... We ate early and everyone there had a PS. As we were leaving we saw people waiting but it didn't seem packed though.

I think anything popular get a PS for - CRT, Le Cellier, Ohana's or the other people mention on the boards...so you don't take the chance of being turned away or waiting forever for a table. If you really have your heart set on eating somewhere you should make a PS :)

ME service back was ok...except they say you are suppose to get an envelope in you room and we didn't get one. We called to make sure we were getting picked up and they were there :)

The resort was OK... the walk isn't that bad from Trinidad to Old Port Royale - we did it one morning. If we were at OPR and had to go back we could get on any bus because they all went around. We didn't spend a lot of time at the resort as we were out all day... and didn't need OPR much. Stopped there for breakfast before going to IoA that day since the van picks us up there. We were also fine with the pool at our location. The main pool looked not much bigger and more crowded. As two adults we preferred more quiet location anyhow.
