I know My post was late but I know now that I have time to share with you all my disney trip. Where should I begin?.....
Well the day we left it was pretty cool. I had to leave my furbaby It was hard but I managed. We drove down to the city[NYC] to pick up my best friend. She was to come with my family and I. So after we picked her up we headed for good ole' Florida. Yes by car and it was good! Im suprised how my body handled it. I got out of the car in total 3 times through out the whole trip.
Anywho we made it to Florida and it was great sun shining birds chirping. Yet extremely hot. I haven't felt florida heat in 2 years so it was like crashing into a brick wall. Yet I was used to it in a heartbeat. After our traditional stop at the Welcoming Center and our complimentry cup of OJ it was off to Orlando. We drove around another 2 hours till we reached our hotel. I've been to this hotel since the age of 2 and it completely changed, I in fact didn't like it much. So when we go again, we're staying inside the Disney Compound.
We went to Universal Island of Adventure first then Sea World then finally I was itching in my seat, DISNEY. When we got there I was literally crying [secretly]. When I got off the parkinglot tram I felt home. Since everyone was going on the Monorail, we decided to take the boat ride. To our suprise when the boat arrived, Disney characters were aboard! What a Treat it was!!! Got to see Pluto, Chip and Dale, and Donald! It was great. We got on the boat and it was magical. To see the castle magically appear beyond that little man made island was heart racing! I was the first one off the boat to tell you the truth. I waited for my family to come catch up to me. When they finally did we got my father an electric wheelchair. And we seperated with our walkie-talkies in hand. First stop Main Street. I literally was blown away when I saw the castle. I yelled at my Bestfriend "IM HOME IM HOME!" She walked away like she didnt know me but I think I was contagous since she started to act like a 4 yr old [shes 20 mind you] People... It is true what disney lovers say... you could be 89 years old and immediately be thrown back lets say 85 years and act like a child. Its simply Magical...
Anywho, We went stright to Tommrowland and got on Space Mountain. We had to drag along my brother whos 9 years old and he and my bestfriend never got on Spacemountain before. So there we were On line which was like 15 minutes long and my brother chickened out at the last minute so that dampered my excitment and he waited in the unloading dock area while we went on the ride. We decided to FP that ride again just incase my brother changed his mind. So when we were waiting we saw the carsol of Progress and the Transit ride about 3 times LOL then we got back on line for SM He was about to chicken out but my BF[Best friend] and I coxed him and he went on it. He loved it and wanted to go on it again but we wanted to see the other side of the park. So off we went towards Splash Mountain but we detoured to Big thunder mountain Railroad. We were about to get on line for it but Dad said Follow him so there he was on his wheelchair and he went to the disabled persons entrance. We waited there for a moment or two. I of course was thrilled I didnt have to wait on the 60+ min line. When we got in our little seats on the ride, the CM was like you would have to ride the track twice to get back to our wheelchair so I got excited! RIDING IT TWICE IN ONE SHOT?! wooo!
So we got to ride it twice then we headed for Haunted mansion.... AGAIN dad's disabilites had its advantages.[As bad it may sound] But we got to cut the lines for Haunted Mansion and got to ride it quickly. From there we wanted to see the Pirates of the Carribean ride so We headed for adventure land. Got to ride the PoTC then we suprisingly went on The Jungle Cruise. I myself have been to Disney more then 6 times and I never got on that ride till then. It was funny and amusing. After that we decided to head for Phillar Magic. I went ahead to get on line so when the time came they could come in with me. Unfortunately they all [6 in total] couldnt come except my Brother. So he and I went in to see it and it was great...Smell-o-vision hahahah wish I had that on my tv Set. Afterwards we headed to splash mountain We had FP'ed it earlier so we went at our time and got on the ride. My brother was chickening out but I got him on it. We got on it and had fun.
After the ride we decided for the picture. So We went to get our pictures processed. But a technical difficulty happened and we couldnt get our Paid pictures at that time. And we needed to be on Mainstreet for the Parade!! So the CM gave us a special ticket to go on aany ride in the park without waiting on line!!!!! So we took that opportunity to go on the rocket ride in Tommrowland. The whole family got on it and it was magical. The sun was setting all the pinks and blues fusing together in the sky, it was magical. Afterwards we headed for a spot for the parade. I was walking around for a spot and found out a roped off area for disabled people. I called my dad and we got in the empty roped area. As many times Ive been there I never got to be in front for a parade. Then it started to rain! But a HUGE Rainbow appeared and the rain ceased. During the rain, CM'S were entertaining children and some adults. They were playing leapfrog, hopscotch etc... Then it came time for the parade. I was crying when I heard those spectro magic trumpets. The parade was simply stunning. Then it was time for Wishes. I was like OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOGMOGMOGM Hyperventalating. Then I saw my family and smiled. It would be a long time till we can be like this.[Tommrow my father is having heart surgery]. When I heard those words it touched my heart and I wished for my fathers recovery. I taped the whole fireworks spectacular and you could hear me singing along. Then it was time to say goodbye to my home until we would meet again.
"We put our faith and hope on a shooting star" What true words it was. My mom said it would probably be another 2 years till we could come back 'home' and Im praying and hoping to return.
