Well, just couldn't pass up the BLT deal, with 20% off CM, $5.00 off and Developer points we ended up buying BLT. Our hearts are still with BCV our original home, and we will try to book there as often as possible, but I think we will be happy at BLT as well.

Now it been a few years so I need to read up on any rules that have changed. Try and remember what banking deadlines are and download some type of program that will tell me exactly when my 11 month and 7 month windows are and how many points I am using. Any suggestions?

I believe there are banking deadlines listed on the dvcmember online site. Once you get the code to get your username and password, you should be able to see all the information online.

....even if it isn't BCV! I'm sure you will enjoy the location and low MF of BLT.

The big thing is that DVC has simplified the rules at members request. So there is just one banking deadline; 100% through the 8th month. Also you book on the first day of the reservation and waitlist for the entire stay (no day-by-day).

Does it feel weird to have a different home?

If you fall in love with BLT and decide not to do BCV for a while that's OK. "Love means never having to say you're sorry." and I'm sure BCV will understand.

Banking deadlines are all different lately. A think a little better.

Ditto.... WELCOME HOME! WE too are BCV owners and OKW (we sold BWV to buy BLT)... we are going to bank BCV and BLT points and stay at each resort every other year... and OKW for the other stays.... we are a family of 6 and have to get a 2BR each time... but you will love both... but I cannot wait to sit on my balcony and see fireworks from an upper floor and the water light parade.... my husband wanted to cancel the BLT purchase due to the economy, but this was my dream.... whenever a monorail resort was built, we are buying! too bad it happened in this economy.... we canceled our DEC. trip due to the economy.... sad we are missing short lines as some are stating on other posts!!! 30 min. wait at Soarin'??????? wow! we'll see you on the balcony!

we figure this.... been a member since 1994... we lost so much money in 2002-2003.... but we had our DVC contracts paid for.... we are so glad we paid them off.... we lost anything in the market, but we STILL have our DVC memberships and that was before 4 kids! now we have guaranteed vacations "in style" for many years to come.... I would rather put my money in this than lose it anyway in the market... these points will be honeymoons, anniversary trips, etc. A gift for generations to come... as long as Disney can survive this mess....
