I'm Back! Did Ya Miss Me? Trip Report

I hope everyone will refrain from posting requests in this thread. This is for Kelly's family trip report, she has a separate thread for requests.

Jessica those pics are soo precious thanks for sharing. I am soo bummed that I didn't see you guys in the parks. I only ran into one other family with my designs on and I was looking! I was hoping to find more!!!:goodvibes

Back to the trip report, if you have been reading along you will remember that we were the only family at Camp Minnie Mickey for quite sometime, so when the girls were done visiting with Minnie, Mickey again took there hands to go and meet Donald! :goodvibes

Then on to Chip n Dale!

Then Chip n Dale took Emma by the hand to play around and go meet Koda and Kenei:cutie:

Then it was off to Festival of the Lion King!

On the way Papa spotted Pocahontas!

Look at Bella sporting her own little pose:rotfl:

Festival of the Lion King was super fun and my youngest Lila LOVED it. The Lion King is one of her favorite movies tied with Monsters Inc. (more about that later)
She kept shouting "Lion King" and pointing to the animatronic Simba in the corner. We got really great seats for the show and towards the end my girls were picked for the finale! They got to get up and dance around the theatre with the preformers!

Here are a couple more candid shots from the rest of the day at AK. Emma in her bug eyes, and Lila holding her baby simba, and last but not leas Bella was soo funny with the frog outside the Rainforest Cafe she was actually talking to it like it was a character. You have to look close, but she is in fact talking to it. My husband and I were crackin up:rotfl:

I am LOVIN your report! It is getting me more excited for our trip in Oct. Can I ask where you got the shirts for you to make your disigns? My DD HATES wearing shrts that are too big and the ones at Michael's/Joann's don't come in small enough sizes. I even tried to shrink them (can't do it when you want to , but can if you don't ). Your tank is cute, too. Not the same ol' Tee. And whoever designed those, well, she is incredibly talented ;)

I too hate the boxy tee shirts as well. The shirts the girls are wearing in these pictures are actually Hanes Girls undershirts that come 3 to a package for $10 (in the underwear section at Target)so I gobbled them up beacuse with the little lace and bow they looked like cute little tank tops. And after you iron on the design nobody is the wiser about them being an undershirt. In fact I got soo many great compliments on these if the people only knew. :goodvibes

My shirt is a tank that I found at Walmart for $4 end of the summer clearence! I'm not sure if you'll be able to find it now, as all the stores already have all their winter stuff out. But seeing that you are from Texas maybe they will still have tanktops out. Up here in CT all that is out is winter coats and sweaters:lmao:

I'm LOVING reading your TR. Getting excited for our trip next month! I think we may have to high tale it (not sure that's how you spell that word! LOL) to Camp MM first thing in the a.m. for some great memories & pics!

You were so smart to snag those undershirt tanks for your girls! WHOO HOO!
I can't wait to see my girls in all the cute designs I'm making from these great artists - and even the tie dye I attempted.

I can't wait to see other updates!

Kelly!
I am SO GLAD that you guys had such magical pixie dust filled moments at AK! You give so many of us a sprinkle of pixie dust through your DISigns that I am glad it came back to ya'll 10 fold! pixiedust:

I am also a "tear up" mom - when I think of how excited my boys will be it just gets to me sometimes. I completely understand :lmao: Can't wait to hear more about your magical trip! :wizard:

Boy, do those bring back memories. My twins, who are now 9, were 2-1/2 the first time we took them to WDW. We leave leave in 20 days for our latest adventures and first MNSSHP. They are just excited about this their sixth trip as that first one. Thanks for sharing you trip report and all your awesome disigns.

Day 2

We started with the Princess Breakfast in Norway at Akershush. It is a must do for my girls they love all things Princess. Here are some shots from the bus stop. We had our own little Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique thing at the room where I did all the girls hair and added tiara's! I thought they came out looking terrific! We had to look our best for our royal friends:rotfl:

Emma felt just like a princess

DisneyWorld2009242.jpg

Bella wasn't in the mood for photos quite yet, it was rather early and we were out late the night before to take in Wishes!

DisneyWorld2009243.jpg

And Lila was in quite a good mood at the bus stop

DisneyWorld2009244.jpg

Unfortunately after the bus trip and the hike to Norway, she lost some of that good mood and pretty much refused to pose with Belle who was the host this morning. And the other girls lost a little excitement as well, so here is our pitiful shot before breakfast. They take your picture upon arrival, I secretly wished we could put it off until the girls got a little food in their tummies.

DisneyWorld2009246.jpg

After a few bites of breakfast Emma and Bell were filled with excitement when we were visited by Aurora. Unfortunately Lila from this point on wasn't really into the "face" characters. She wouldn't really go to any "face" characters as she is not a big fan of strangers. Which I guess I can't blame her, but I was hoping after watching all of their movies over and over again these princesses would not be strangers to her! But alas she didn't warm up to them and we never really got many pictures with the "face" characters and if we did she wasn't always happy in the picture. I was totally dumbfounded by her this trip. She LOVED the big scary all in costume characters like Mickey and Goofy and totally not into the less scary "face" characters! Go figure:lmao:
She is definately my most independent daughter and she marches to her own drum. In other words Lila does what Lila wants when she wants to do it!:rotfl:

DisneyWorld2009250.jpg

DisneyWorld2009253.jpg

Here's another of my favorite snapshots. It's Bella say "Moma here comes Snow Wipe!!!!" Bella and Lila pronounce it wipe instead of white which I think is very endearing, but I do correct them every time, but they still make that error every time.:rotfl:

DisneyWorld2009254.jpg

DisneyWorld2009257.jpg

DisneyWorld2009259.jpg

This is another example of how sweet and kind these ladies that portray these princesses are. After she was done greeting her guests by the door Belle made it a point to come over to visit Lila. She told her she would be "Just simple heartbreaking if she didn't get a hug and a photo with this darling little princess" Again I almost cried as it was very sweet of her after she was brutally rebuffed by Lila earlier! Lila did warm up as much as all would have liked, but she did give her a hug and Belle thank her by name! (another good reason for us mom's to work so hard on those shirts huh?):goodvibes

Hi Kelly, Your girls are PRECIOUS!!! We have identical twin grandsons who have recently celebrated their 21st Birthday. When they were much younger I bought them shirts from a Planetarium which read "Shoot for the Moon"- they were such different personalities that Stephen wanted to become an astronaut when they received their shirts and Shane just wanted to drop his pants !! Stephen is now attending college and would like to be a History Teacher and Shane leaves for the Air Force in two weeks--. Thanks goodness that the girls are their own selves. Enjoy them--they grow so very quickly! The shirts you DISigned for them are adorable--such lucky girls to have a VERY talented Mom.

I was just having a conversation yesterday with a friend about WDW. It takes a special person to work there. They do everything imaginable for kids. Glad Belle took the time to give your dds a great experience.

Kelly

I'm loving your trip report

Yes you should run there right after opening! They are litterally just standing there waiting for people to show up and you can't put a price on the extra time you get if no other families are around!:goodvibes

Thanks Ginny,
Yes they do have their own personalities and that is soo enjoyable at times! They are constantly surprising me with their reactions to different things. You would never know that their sisters let alone twins:rotfl:

I know those people that play the characters are soo good and sweet to every kid happy to see them or not. I was also impressed at how the defuse tense situation like when a kid isn't to thrilled to see them or is afraid. They always say or do something to make them comfortable and ease the tension. I was blown away by all their kindness. :cutie:

Day 2 cont.....

After our breakfast with the Princesses we were off to the Living Seas to see Nemo and friends! We walked right on to finding Nemo and then as soon as we exited the ride it was time for Turtle Talk with Crush. I think we waited for 5 mins and then went right in! This day was off to a fabulous start!!! :goodvibes

Here are some pics from our 5 min wait to get inot Turtle Talk with Crush

DisneyWorld2009272.jpg

During Turtle Talk with you know who a really funny thing happened, I hope this translates in type, so here goes. Ya know how kids get to ask Crush questions and he answers, well he came out wearing a ladies bikinni top and asked one of the small boys in front if this is the type of thing he wears when he goes in the big 'ol blue and without missing a beat the little boy said "NO those are for ****ies!!!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The whole crowd errupted with laughter and I stole a peek at the poor mom and she was mortified. I was secretly thanking god that it wasn't me! :lmao:

After we were done conversing with Crush we headed for the little play area accross the hall to see Brucie!

DisneyWorld2009273.jpg

One of my favorites form this trip! Again Lila is missing, cuz if you've been reading along, Lila does what Lila wants, when she wants to do it. And this morning she was in no mood to be eaten by a shark:rotfl:

I'm loving your trip report! I am getting so excited for our trip! That is so funny what that little boy said at Turtle Talk! At least he knew what they were for :rotfl:
