Welcome back. I leave on Friday and can't wait. Getting in the mood by reading your report. Beautiful girls!They make the trip worth all the planning don't they?

Day 2 Animal Kingdom!

We started with the Animal Kingdom because it is my mom's (Grammy) favorite park. She would spend all 7 days there if we'd let her!

Here is a shot from the bus stop.

We arrived for the opening ceremonies and the girls did enjoy seeing it.
After the opening ceremony was over we headed straight to Camp Minnie Mickey! Emma was dead set on getting all her autographs for her book. (Thanks again Natalie for the designs)

Boy am I glad we did!!!! We were the only family in Camp Minnie Mickey for at least 20 mins. My girls got all that time uninterupted with the characters! It was soo special and I have to admit that I teared up a few times with their excitement. You'll see in the pictures to follow.

Because we were the only people in Camp Minnie Mickey, Mickey took the girls by the hand to take them to meet Minnie. Warning tear alert for all you mothers out there. This is the moment that did me in

How on earth do you already have your Photopass pictures? Did you get them while you were still in the parks or have you already done the CD and all since you have been back?

Oh wow! What a great first couple of days for you! I LOVE The pics with Mickey and Minnie and yes, I did tear up. I teach Kindergarten and I have a little soft spot for all little children. I still get teary when my own daughters see characters and interact and my girls are 9, 12 and 15!
Keep the posts coming... I can't wait to hear more about it.

Oh my gosh, I'm sitting at work reading your report and tearing up (as you warned us) at the mickey pics. I'm glad I'm not the only one that will probably start crying the second my kids interact with their favorite characters and can't wait to see my three yr old son's reaction when he sees the castle at MK. That to him is Disneyworld! Glad you had a great trip and can't wait to read more.
I myself leave in two weeks. Don't know who is more excited, me or the kids!!!! Glad to have you back, I will be sporting your designs as I have left requests on your design thread.

Same for me. I am too sitting at work tearing up looking at those pictures of your daughters with Mickey. Especially the one of the back of them walking off with him holding hands. That one really got the tears trickling. What a beautiful family you have.

I know that is one of my favorites as well. I felt like a celebrity because like I mentioned we were the only family there for like 20 mins so all 6 of the Photopass photographers were snapping away like paparazzi!! I wasn't in postion for that shot but one of the photogs got it and I was so grateful for that

How on earth do you already have your Photopass pictures? Did you get them while you were still in the parks or have you already done the CD and all since you have been back?

I have to be honest Amy, I kinda cheated and print screened them from the photo pass website I am playing with the resolution in photoshop which is proving difficult. Some are coming out better than others. If I don't get the resolution worked out I may have to un-tie the purse strings and buy a few from Disney. I just find their prices a little high so I am trying to be frugle. I know it's not the right thing to do, but we are on a very tight budget so I have to find creative ways to solidify those memories.

Like I said to Amy before, I kinda cheated and print-screened them from the photpass site, but it's funny that you should mention me doing my own type of photopass borders, I have a few shots that I took on my camera that a photopass photographer wasn't around for and instead of uploading them to the Disney photopass site I have started working on my version of the borders I will be unveiling them in this trip report, STAY TUNED for that

The first trip with your kids is always so magical!! Soak up every moment. They grow up so fast! Be sure to take a ton of pics and use those photopass photographers anywhere you see them. Have that photopass card ready at every character greeting!!

Thank you, that moment was when my mother and I started crying. By far one of my most favorite memories of the trip and that was 1 hour into the 1st day! I have lots more magic and surprises for you guys in store. STAY TUNED!

I am glad to hear you had a great trip. We were in disney the same time as you and we also had a wonderful time. The shirts were a great hit with everyone.
