I'm asking these two questions anyway...

I just read the stickies but they didn't clear things up for me:

1.) The .pdf document about the DxDDP for 2008 says appetizers are included but everywhere else I read that they are not. What's the truth?

2.) If on the DxDDP, can you order anything of the menu in each respective category, i.e. apps, entree, dessert? Or are you limited to items that have a little Mickey next to them, do they give you a separate/special menu, etc.?

I know these are basic queries, but I never considered the DDP before tonight and suddenly it seems like a good value. Thanks, in advance.

1) Appetizers are included on the DxDDP. The discussion about appetizers no longer being included is referring only to the standard dining plan, which as of 1/1/08 only includes entree & dessert.

2) You can order anything off the regular menus at the overwhelming majority of restaurants. There are a few special rules regarding the sushi at California Grill - most sushi is an appetizer, but two of the sushi options are entrees - and at Teppan Edo, where sushi does not qualify as an appetizer at all, but aside from that you order anything you like from the regular menus.

Thanks, Colleen27. That clears it up for me.

My only other questions is: if you wanted something else on the menu - apart from the app, entree, dessert and non-alc beverage - if I wanted a 2nd appetizer, perhaps some wine, etc. (yes, I know I sound like a pig) does this appear on the bill in full price alongside the zeroed out total for the rest - thereby suggesting the gratuity amount? Does that make any sense?

I realize these are a lot of variables, but I like to cover my bases.

Colleen is absolutely correct.
Have a great time eating.
I think it is a decent value and it is nice "not to worry about price".

You will be charged full price for anything over and above the appy, entree, dessert and non- alcoholic beverage. How it is broken down this year I am not sure. I believe the extras, along with the grat, is on a separate check....if I am understanding that correctly.

Your quick responses are fantastic.

I'm leaving all of you a gratuity... 18%, correct?

Yes, any items you order for which you are required to pay out of pocket - alcohol, side (where applicable), extra appetizer - will appear on a separate bill.

For at least the last couple of years, this check had an automatic 18% gratuity added to it. With the change in tipping policy, this may have changed (to allow Guests to determine the tip on the cash portion of the check).

I've used the DDP for three years, and all my "beverages" go on a seperate bill & get charged 18%. I am curious to see if that will be the same, or if I will choose to leave 18%. I think they give you an option of either 18% or 20%.

We are booked using the Deluxe DDP this year since we love character breakfasts, but always sit down for dinner as well. This way we'll be spending it all upfront & not have all those OOP meals. Yay!:yay:

Enjoy! :goodvibes
