I took my car into the Wal-Mart auto service center today and it was not a pleasant experience. I came in at 7:30 am to get all 4 tires on my car changed. The Wal-Mart employee said it would take an hour, but it took about two hours. The car sat in the bay for over an hour without anyone working on it. The new tires were on the car and the lugnuts were in, but no hubcaps were on the wheels. It sat like that for an hour! I saw car after car go up and down for oil changes, even cars that arrived after me! Hey, I was here first! Fix my car first!
I tried to ask the Wal-Mart employee what was happening with my car. She said to me, "How can I help you sir?" I started to talk and she turned her head to talk to someone else. How rude! I was not very happy! My car was finally done after two hours of waiting and the Wal-Mart employee did not even give a "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" after checking me out.
I usually take my car into Midas for repairs. They cost a little more, but they treat me like a VIP. They know my name and my car. The employees keep me updated about the repair. They don't try to rip me off. Everyone is nice to me there. I've taken my car into Wal-Mart for some oil changes and it was a horrendous experience. I haven't done oil changes there in years. I see Wal-Mart auto service has no changed any.
I learned my lesson -- Wal-Mart bad, Midas good! I will be loyal to Midas from now on. I don't think I'll be shopping at Wal-Mart in the future.
