I became a mom on January 1, and then I became an aunt on January 27. My sister gave birth to a little boy, named Daniel Alexander, at around 9:00 pm on Monday. He weighed 8 lb 1 oz. We haven't weighed Jacob recently, but we think he and Daniel are probably right about the same weight.
My sister and I are my parents' only children, so you can imagine how excited my parents are right now. They went from not having any grandkids to having 2 grandsons in less than a month.
I haven't seen Daniel in real life yet (just pictures) because I didn't want to take Jacob to the hospital to visit him. I'm going to go see him tomorrow, and then I'll post pictures of him and Jacob together.
