On another thread, a person was asking if you've ever taken a friend to Disney.
Now, I see nothing wrong with doing it, but I see you guys as lucky. My parents would never even consider bringing one of my friends to Disney, it's costly. They also figure it as a time to bond as a family. Same goes for cruises, they're costly, we could never afford to pay for someone else.
And in the other direciton, if I were invited by one of my friends to go, I'd either have to pay my own way, or my parents wouldn't let me go. They'd never let someone pay for me to go with them on a trip, especially that costly. They'd feel like they'd owe them forever.

So, just curious, do your parents let other people buy you stuff when you go places or do they give you or the person money to pay for whatever you want?

My parents ALWAYS buy stuff for my friends.
Always.
If they need dinner, a snack..
Anything.
Lol

My parents would pay for a snack or a meal.. or concert tickets or whatever.
But a trip?
No.

A few years ago, my brother brought one of his friends along. I think he paid for part of the room and what not, but I think he had money for snack, but other than that, Im not sure.

I think now that I'm older, my friends would need to pay for part of the room and the food but we would drive to Disney and they wouldnt need to pay for that.

my parents would NEVER let me take a friend to disney with them paying for eveything......food, maybe, hotel, probally, but airfare and park tickets on them? no way!

i went to chicago w/ my grand 'rents in july last year and i took $30 of my own and they each ended up giving me $20 each i think.:goodvibes

if someone offers me something, im not afraid to say no........ok, maybe a little but if i want it and like it, sure! why not? ;) :)

We finally convinced my parents to take a friend of ours along this year...and our friend's parents agreed also. We told her this summer and she got really excited about it. She even started posting here. Then she stopped. She decided instead of her parents spending $1000 towards the trip, she wanted a more expensive phone. She is getting VERY materialistic...so she turned the trip down.

It actually benefitted us...as we are now staying at the GF while on the Platinum Plan for 7 days.

If my parents let me invite a friend to come to WDW with us, they would pay for them. We wouldn't invite, if they wouldn't pay for them.

Yep.
I've taken 3 at one time.
it was for my 16th bday so yea.
that was all i got and it was worth it.
my mom paid for them, but it was a one time thing.
but when it came to souvenirs and stuff along the lines of that...
well, she had them pay for their stuff then.

uhh well my parents haven't ever said i couldn't

but they said i could take them on spring break and stuff sometime if i wanted to. and yeah they'd probably pay for some of it. not sure if they would or not.

but yeah i think if you invite someone your supposed to pay. kind of general edequte. wow no idea how to spell that.

My mom is going to pay for food, snacks, anything of that nature. She would pay for the shopping and souveineirs and stuff but they insisted. My friend is bringing 450$ for shopping but other that that my parents ar epaying for everything else.

Taking my friend was all my mom's idea she loves the thought. Besides this girl's like family anyway. And we're going in June when theres a discount so really it's not THAT much more...:goodvibes

both :rolleyes1

well, I took my best friend on the Disney cruise and to Disney after that. My mom payed for the trip down, the cruise, the hotel, the food(we both got 50 dollars each a day for food), she even bought some souvineers for her. It was for my 16th birthday and it was amazing, we both pretty much planned the whole vacation together, and then my mom let us go and do things by ourselves, except my birthday, that my mom planned, and it was a scavenger hunt for the both of us, we got a charm braclet and at every stop on the scavenger hunt my mom would give us both new charms. It was probably the best birthday present EVER!! And it was all my moms idea. It was probably one of the best times I had ever been at Disney, I got my friend to go on her first roller coaster( mount everest) and she LOVED it!! and my mom took us on the cruise which was amazing since I loved the cruise last time I was on it and my mom hated it and said we would probably never go on one again, but she surprised me and said we were taking Janine one on for my birthday. It was amazing.

But I have also gone one vacation with Janine, we went to Newport, RI and her parents pretty much payed for everything too(food and room, cuz we drove there)
and this summer Janine is coming down south to TX to visit me(because I just moved from CT to TX in Sept.)!!! i can't wait!!! I miss her soo much. :(

but yes, my mom has let me go on vacations with a friend, even thought she is more like family and she has let me take her on vacation with us.

I usually pay for myself, or I plan to, then they pay for me and I can't do anything about it.

I've taken my best friend twice, and last June I took three friends. They all paid their own way, except my parents paid for the room.
