It's a really cute 4th floor corner close to clubhouse with cute theming....it's 3 bedrooms....very reasonable.....BUT

It's not Disney....I'm just afraid once I take the plunge...I'll regret not being in WDW...

I can do a 1 bedroom [vs 3] for 2 nights less for $400 more at this point....seems crazy to even consider....

Just wanted some reassurance....

What if I get some incredible pin code as soon as I book? LOL.

Will I miss not having to drive [DH]....will parking be a nightmare?

We're spending a week at WDW...hoping to spend 1 day lazing about WH [I've read there are activities and such].....

then off to Anna Maria Island.

Thanks!

p.s. I really wanted Bonnet Creek, but also $400 more than WH at time we're going.

Don't Worry, Be Happy. :rotfl:
Look at it this way, the place you're staying on Anna Maria Island isn't Disney either and that doesn't seem to bother you.
We've stayed at WH 3 times and love it. The driving to Disney is a breeze and there's no problem with parking. We've been to Disney 15 times in the last 20 years and always stay off site. Never had a problem with driving in and parking. If you think that taking Disney buses can be part of the "magic" when staying on site, I can assure you that not having to wait for buses and having your own car is part of the magic for me in staying off site.

Having a 3 bedroom condo will give you privacy and space. Can you post the website for the condo?
We've stayed in many different condos, townhouses and pool homes and have never had a problem. We usually rent directly from owners. The driving around Kissimmee is no problem either. I like being able to live on vacation the way I do at home and not be jammed into a room and depend on others to take me places. That's just my opinion but I do think you'll like WH. :thumbsup2

LOL.

But we're NOT going to AMI to go to WDW...LOL.

I've only been to WDW twice and been immersed in disney..that's what I'm afraid of missing out on....

Thanks so much though....I know we'll love the space although the kids are young so not as much as an issue YET. LOL. I'm already waivering.

Relax you will be fine :goodvibes Once you stay off-site and get all that extra room for less $$$ you may not go back :)

We have stayed in on-site & off-site hotels, villas & townhomes and certainly enjoy the extra space and tranquillity of having your own home rather than a cramped hotel room. The townhome suits us best as the kids can always meet others around the community pool but yet we still have our own privacy if we want it.

We're staying in a condo not townhome for the same reason. Our kids will want to be in the big pool with the slide with other kids.

I am checking on AKV 2 bedroom just in case....it will be $400 more 1 bedroom less and 2 nights less. Now if we were a family of 4, DVC renting or even staying onsite would be much more affordable...SIGH.

I've been reading on the shortcut thread....it does sound like it takes LONGER to get into the park from offsite but SHORTER to get there than disney bus.

My DH and I are Disney fans and love everything Disney and have disposible income but we always stay off site at timeshare condos. We save lots of $$, are more comfortable, can go more often, can spluge on V&A's and whatever else we want. We're always within 10 minutes of parks and just pay for parking. I'm sure we get back and forth from parks to condo just as quickly as folks that take the transportation. After being spoiled by beautiful condos I don't think I could ever go to a hotel room again. Have a magical day.

You would seriously consider cutting back your vacation by 2 days, and paying $400 more for the priviledge, to stay in smaller accomodations onsite????

That's just crazy talk!

You will not regret the extra space and privacy. You will see even more savings by being able to have breakfast in the condo, and being able to keep juice, milk and water in the fridge, not to mention adult beverages to be enjoyed on the screened in balcony while your children and peacefully sleeping in their own rooms.

Don't worry about it. You will have a great time. Next thing you know you will start venturing over to the dark side to SeaWorld, Universal, and Islands of Adventure. Once the kids see Spiderman and the Hulk, (not to mention Harry Potter opening 2009/2010) they will never want to set foot in WDW again!
