My son (5.5) has become addicted to playing Yu-gi-oh. Not that he plays it quite right as he doesn't read yet, a 7yo from down the road "helps". Anyway, he keeps pestering his sister (3yo) to play with him, then gets mad at her when she doesn't play 'right'. After listening to this all week, I took all the cards and put them away (hidden).

ACK!

Here's another mean mommy...I give you credit that you waited so long!

Dont feel bad. Every mom got the handbook when their kids were born that says you must be mean.:p

Seriously..I would have done the smae thing. Hang in there!

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh drive me nuts, thank goodness my son has FINALLY outgrown them!!!!!!!!

There used to be cards lying EVERYWHERE around here......ugghhh!!

GOOD MOMMY!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the mean mommy club! Anyone else want to join? I nominate Ashley for President!

I welcome you to our club. My kids tell me I am the meanest mom in the world. I must be doing something right.;)

Mean, mean, mean, mean, mean! That is what we all are, thanks to "everyone else's mom!" Count me in the club!

Oh, cati, I'm so disappointed. I thought I had the title lof meanest mom in the whole world locked in!

DD told me this in the car one day when we were going somewhere with one of her friends. The friend just looked at her, snorted, and said, "You have GOT to be kidding."

LOL! I have a new job! President of the Mean Mommy Club (assuming someone else doesn't want the position). :)

I think those yu-gi-oh cards are the worst things invented!!!! My ds's are so into that and i can't stand it. I have so many cards around my house it isn't even funny!!! I guess i am another bad parent b/c i started telling them if i found them on the floor that they are mine and they will go to the trash!!

Add my name to the mean mommy club. DD often has a toy in time out because she can't play nicely with it. Don't let her cute smile fool you ;) .

DS loves watching the series on Cartoon Network. But I refuse to buy the cards for him. That must mean I'm a mean mommy too.

Can I join the club? I'd like to say that I'm a card carrying member of the Mean Mommies Club, Ohio Chapter, Akron Sub-chapter.:)

Another mean mommy checking in. Any toys left out at bedtime become mine and the trashman's!!

Mean Mommy here, too! But for LOTS of different reasons! :)

We have Pokemon cards all over the place here - I finally gave up the DR table (since we never use it) for sorting and storage. Can't ban them in this house since DS AND DH both play in the league! Tomorrow is game night so they have been busy (and messy) making decks. Hey, it gives them somthing to do together.

It's going to be a looooooooong summer home with these two kids!

Mine gets the stare if he even attempts to ask his twin sister to play or me. I cant stand games like that but DH does so he will play with him. They all sit and watch the cartoon series every night. I just do dishes or laundry or something.

Now both are mad.. no more TV until their play room is cleaned.

Ashley

So glad DS3 has no clue what Yu-gi-oh cards are yet. All my friends that have school age boys complain about them all the time. Maybe by the time he's in school they won't be so popular anymore! Yeah right!
Well I can always dream can't I? :p

One more "mean Mommy" to join in!

Although, my DD does not say I am mean quite as often anymore - she just rolls her eyes:rolleyes: - which I can not stand...but did so well as a child! :p

My kids (shockingly) will argue with me if I call myself mean, even though I'm a pretty tough mom. My oldest, DS 8 tells me "Nuh-huh, you're the best mommy I've ever had." I guess there are some perks to adopting an older kid! (By the way, I am his 4th (and last) mom, so best mom ever means something for me :p )

However, I don't think the other kids agree. I do not let my children run around at church, and if they do, they get in trouble. Other parents don't seem to mind if their kids do. After church one day, I walk up and overhear another kid asking DS "Do you think your mom is mean?" DS said no, but I know what the other kid was thinking.

Another "MEAN MOM" here. DDalmost 16 was angry enough at me last night to beg to be my "President of the Mean Mom Club" campaign manager. I told her that if her lights weren't out at 11:00 she couldn't go on her date tonight and would have another chance to make the 11:00 lights out deadline (she gets up very early because she is a camp counselor -- she has been looking so tired and I just wanted to get her to go to sleep).

DD11 could tell you about how mean moms deal with Yu Gi Oh cards lying around -- right in the goodwill basket!
