We are going to WDW in 10 days and originally were going to stay at POR and then had to change dates and somehow....we are staying at the BWI instead. :teeth: I was looking at info and photos on the computer last night with dh who said, "Deluxe hotel. I don't even remember how this trip got planned. You're just a "Disney bully". :rotfl: He said this all with a smile though. Doesn't take a lot of bullying to get him to enjoy WDW.

Me too!! I wasn't supposed to go again until my trip in Oct. Guess what the entire family is headed down in about 17 days for 6 nights at SSR....YIPPEEE!!!

Hmm, I can relate- we were planning to vacation locally this summer but I kept casually bringing up WDW now and then- finally dh asked to see some prices, I gave him some numbers, and he told me he'd already told his boss we were going! Guess my subtle hints worked better than I thought, and we're heading down in September!

Our trip this past January wasn't suppose to happen. We were skipping a year and saving for a long trip next January at AKL concierge. Well...I just happen to be looking at NWA flights and they were $125.00! That is unheard of out of Detroit! So I booked them (and used $25 vouchers that would have expired in June) and bought everyone an AP so we could get both trips out of them, got an AP discount at POR, and tried to convince my husband that I had saved him big bucks! For some reason, I don't think he believed me!

Add me to the list! The first year we went in 2001 my DH was happy to go since we had never been there before. He wasn't planning on going the next year but we got such good airfare it was hard to pass up. After that he said we are not going back for quite awhile. Following year we got even better airfare so he said okay one last time. He held his ground in 2004 and we did not return to DW. Guess what, we will be back this summer because we got the airfare to beat all airfares. We are also going with family and friends so he couldn't say no. But he has laid down the law NO DISNEY AFTER THIS!!! He said he did not mind if the kids and I go next year but he is not going. He would rather visit somewhere else next year. So.....it looks like the kids and I will be flying solo for the first time ever. (Wana bet I "bully" him into it?) :rotfl:

Fortunately DH is a "Park Snob" so I don't have to bully too hard to go to WDW ;) It is a long distance though and that makes it hard, that and the finances. I'll confess though to being a Disney Bully. Someone asked me today about going to Europe. I have family there and I'm wondering why haven't I gone? Oh, I guess because I'm going to Disney all the time, either WDW, or when we are in the vicinity of LA to DL. I'm Disney obsessed, I admit.

Our upcoming trip started out as a small (long weekend) road trip to DC so we could save up some money. Now we're going to WDW for 11 days!

Its crazy how much of a "bully" I am. :) :) glad to know i'm not alone!

My DH was SUCH a Disney bully that for our third wedding anniversary he booked a 5 night trip to WDW without telling me!!! Anytime he brought it up, I would tell him I wanted to buy a house and we weren't going anywhere until we bought a house. So...he booked it and planned it "for me" as an anniversary "surprise". Uh huh. We did have a wonderful time though...

Then we had our son. And my obsessive personality discovered Allears, the Unofficial Guide, etc. And we turned from DH pleading with me to go to the DVC presentation in 2002 with our 1 year old son to me asking him if we could just "ask a few questions" when we were lucky enough to stay at OKW through our Interval Timeshare to me hinting about now adding on yet more points. Wow, do things change!

And the weirdest? Now I am the one perusing the airfare sites and car rental sites pondering a long weekend in August because I simply can't wait until November! And we just got back from a May trip!! And DH is talking about a vacation in August closer to home...

So...guess who the Disney bully is now???

I read your post to my DH and he said, "Hey, you're a Disney bully too!" He really likes that term and will probably call me that from now on.

cute post!!

I suppose I can be a disney bully, too? Every year the kids and hubby say
let's go somewhere else this year. So begins the plannig of the "other" trip,
BUT I always end up making a comparision sheet and find out that Disney can be less expensive if you know how to use the discounts, ect...

and for the past 6 years EVERY vacation has been to disney!! pirate:
thanks to MY persistance. Is that too mean?

I am a Disney bully too, We went for the first family trip last Sept and stayed at Pop. Dh said let's do something different, this year I've moved him up to Mod w/ dining. And am booking 06 trip in Feb for BC. I'm sooo excited about BC. I've been able to gradually move on up through the resorts and he said we couldn't stay there next year but last night we were watching the planning DVD and he said go ahead and book it. But we are actually renting points from a very good friend and staying in a 1 bedroom villa. Oh, I can't wait. :goodvibes

I suppose that I am a "disny bully" too! :teeth: Our trip in 2002 was supposed to be our "big" last trip to WDW. Look at my signature to see how many times, we've been since then. :cool1:

I also got us AP's this year so our "one time trip" in December turned into 5 more trips! Hee Hee..... :earboy2:

well, add me to the list of disney bullies for sure! the fun part, though, is to make dh think it's all his idea! LOL! :cool1:

having just gone last year, and agreeing that wdw is an every two to three year thing (w/other vacations in between, which ironically we're still taking! LOL!), we were innundated with reasons to go... my nashville airfare for july went down, leaving me with an airline credit... we have left over uph's from last year's hurricane days... we got the 30% off certificate due to the class action suit in the mail... etc etc etc... well, he said he could not resist the "signs" so let's just go back to pop for a few days... agreed... and now we're up to ten days staying two nights at RPR (Universal  ), five nights at POFQ (two rooms 'cause we're space hogs!) and two nights at AKL! yep, just like a few days in pop... hahahah! :rotfl: how'd that happen?! :confused3

teehee :earboy2:

This is hilarious. I did the same thing to DH!

We weren't supposed to go until fall 2006 but now we are going this Sept.

We were going to stay for just 3 or 4 days. Now we are staying for 8!

We were going to stay somewhere cheap off property. Then I convinced him we could stay on property for the same price at a Value resort. He agreed. Then I showed him for just a little more we could stay at POFQ......he agreed.

Last night I showed him the Yacht Club and ....he ageed! :rotfl: I think we'll stay with POFQ though so I can save the money I would put in for YC toward another trip. Hubby doesn't know about the next trip yet though. He thinks this is the only one! :rotfl:

I am so the Disney bully! :teeth:

I guess you could call me a Disney bully too then. Fortunately, my DH loves Disney as much as I do so I don't have to persuade much but I do have to work some "magic" to get the vacation the way I would like. :ssst:

We planned to do Disney each or every other year. So I planned a 6 night trip in November of this year at the POR (least expensive for our family of 5). Then I changed to early October because it was value season. So I added a few days to the trip since we were "saving" money anyway ;) . Now it's 9 nights at the POR. Well, I thought we'd go next summer so I looked into getting AP's. I asked my DH & he thought it was a good idea. Why pay for two - 7 day MYW tickets when we could "save" money by getting an AP?
I told him how much $ we can "save" if we try the BC next summer, how convenient it is to EPCOT (his favorite park), & if it's too hot at the parks we will have SOB. So he agrees to BC next August. And of course I mention the DDE card to "save" even more...

Well we might as well make the most of the AP & try to go during Feb 06 school break. It's like "free admission" I tell him...we can drive & save even more! :teeth: He agrees...He tells me to book POR for Feb. Well, I tell him that it will be very crowded :crowded: & who wants to deal with the buses at that time..we should stay close to the parks like CR or Dolphin, maybe even BWI.. This way when the parks get to be too much we can get back to resorts easily & do something at the resort.

So I go from 1 trip to 3 in a matter of of months! And it's all so we can "save" more money honey!!!
