Is there a special viewing place across from Italy to see Illuminations for annual pass holders? This tip was on the mousesavers site.

Thanks

I don't think it is for AP members. Those platforms(by Italy, France and Great Britain) are reserved for private parties. When we were there in August, we reserved the one by Great Britain for an Illuminations dessert party. You need a 20 person minimum to do this. By the way, it was wonderful!

yes...there is/was an area that you could access as a ap holder...you were able to get your name put on the list by visiting the ap lounge in the land pavillion...it area was outside of italy...not sure if they are offering it anymore...they were as of july of 2002....
have fun!!!!

drise. Working Iluminations for like 3 months I can tell you a great place to watch it and enjoy it. Picture this if you will. Were the WS starts there are those 2 merchandise shops and a little island where the Characters on Holiday go (the big red bus) that is a section for you and your family to sit and watch the fire works. Just a reminder it is a "SITTING" section only. No Standing, No Kneeling, no stollers, sitting on your bottoms at all times." That is the best place to watch fire works. The other good thing you are about 40 ft from the fireworks. The only bad thing is if the wind is blowing from AA to Spaceship Earth they will not open the section. Well basically if the wind is blowing towards SE, They will not open it. Also you DONOT need any special reservation for this spot.

Can anyone tell me more about an Illuminations Dessert Party? How much, and is it worth it? Thanks!

Here is a link to the last dessert party. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2901986#post2901986 We did it this past Tuesday 1/28. We were at the UK in the lower balcony. There were 25 of us from the boards that got together and it started at around 8:15, we went down and had dessert and coffee, tea, lemonade and then illuminations. I actually like this area better than the one that was explained earlier between the gift shops. I was able to see more things that I've never noticed before.

I really think it was worth it. The cost was $33.00 per person and the only complaint that I had right before the show the winds shifted and went straight for us.
