Illuminations Preshow Music

Just got back from a stay and noticed that the entire preshow music for Illuminations has been changed. While I do like the music, it just doesn't match the feeling of the other music.
I was wondering if maybe this was done just for F&W festival. I do know that last year during F&W they used the regular preshow music.

AGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I noticed this about 2 months ago...I was so disappointed I really really] liked the pre-Illuminations music as it was...while the new loop is 'ok', I guess, *shrug* it does nothing for me

From what I understand is this. Disney used this music for so many years without paying for rights. The timeframe for the using the music for free was coming to an end. This is why they needed to put in a new sequence of songs. I'm no expert on this by any means, this is what i have heard through the grapevine.

That being said, I prefer the old version to the new one!!
