Illuminations Grand Gathering????

What exactly is this? What restaurant is the meal at (menu?) and where is the seating for Illuminations?

I don't know much about it, but basically its an event you can book if you have eight or more in your party (Grand Gathering). You get dinner, entertainment, get to pose for a picture with a character, and then are led to a VIP area to view Illuminations and desserts and hot beverages such as coffee and cocoa will be served during the show. The event is held at The Oddysey restaurant near the entrance to World Showcase. I'm not exactly sure where the VIP viewing area is but I heard it's a great spot!

Our Grand Gathering is booked for this in late November and I plan on posting a full report here afterwards.

well, looks like I don't have to worry, for the week I am going there isn't much of anything available. The illuminations is available the day I leave, so that won't work! Seems like they are not holding many grand gathering events at all the week I am there, so they tell me.
