We left shortly before it started (the baby isn't a fan), but many of the tables have great views.

I think it depends where you are inside. Several
of the tables (our's included) look right out onto the lagoon. I'd have stayed to watch but my five month old would have been terrified.

Because SRT is at the water's edge and on the other side of the small island-like thicket in the lagoon, I'm sure the restaurant's height and position make it less than ideal for Illuminations. However, if you lack an ADR and don't want to jockey for space on the lagoon, why not sit and enjoy a nosh and a beverage during Illuminations? The best restaurant for the fireworks is Monsier Paul (assuming you have a table by the window).
