We will be staying at the BWI the night of our wedding and would like to veiw Illuminations with a few of our wedding guests.
Since we are not allowed inside Epcot while we still have on our wedding attire, I was wondering if we could stand at the end of the boardwalk near the international gateway and veiw them? Is this a good spot? Does it get real crowded there?

First off, congrats on your upcoming wedding. :) It does tend to get pretty crowded with people attempting to view Illuminations from outside the park. I tried to see them from the bridge from the Boardwalk and couldn't really appreciate them. You can see a few of the fireworks, but not all of them. Also, you can't hear the music. To appreciate Illuminations you really need to be inside the park for the full effects.

We viewed the fireworks from Illuminations from the bridge at the International Gateway in December. That time of year it was not very crowded at all. Also, we had a full view of the Wishes fireworks from the center of the Boardwalk promenade, which I was not expecting!
The Boardwalk is hands down my absolute favorite resort, and I hope you have a wonderful time. Congratulations!

Also, have you thought about doing an Illuminations cruise? I don't know how many are in your party. but I think that would be a wonderful way to end your special day!

Yes, we thought about the illuminations cruise, but if we did that, than we weould need to rent two boats, (as we could not pick and choose who we wanted to go with us). And renting two or more boats is not really in our budget.

Can you really see Wishes from the Boardwalk? Were is a good spot for that? Watching wished was actually our other option.

We have 5:30 ps at the GF for 20 people. I was hoping we could strech out the dinner till 7:30 or so, and than we could hang out on the beach for the veiwing of Wishes. If our dinner doesn't take that long, than I was thiking about just going back to the BWI and hanging out till Illuminations started. What do you guys think?

hmm, maybe I should post this on the strategies board?

I would hang out and watch wishes. There is music in the lobby a great way to relax and spend some time. From what I have read there is a great view of Wishes from the boat dock.
