Illuminations Fastpass Viewing area Quality

Hi, I was wondering how crowding this area is in recent visits? When we saw illuminations last year is
was so congested where we were and so many people with kids on there shoulders literally shoving in front of us that it was not the experience I remembered from other years. Wondering if the feel and conjestion are better in this area.

Nope.

There are so many other great places to watch the show, it's not exactly critical to get a FP.

Just be sure that the wind is not blowing TOWARD you when you pick a spot.
(That also apples to the FP viewing area... only thing is, that spot is locked-in.)

We were unimpressed with the location due to the crowd. Would not do it again. You would have to arrive at the location very early (as with other viewing locaitons) to be "in front" nearest the fence. The slope of the land helps a bit the further back you are but it was quite crowded.
