I'm hoping someone who has been to both of these or even one of these will help me decide. Here's my dilemma...
We are a grand gathering of 10 people. My family of 6 plus my parents and in-laws. This is probably the only time we will all be going together so the only time I will ever have enough people to qualify as a GG.
I booked 2 of the GG experiences a few months ago. The Illuminations dinner and the Tony's breakfast. At the time I was thinking that I had better try these now as I may never get another chance.
Since then I have been reading some unfavorable reviews of the illuminations dinner. Also, we are planning to have lunch that day at the F&W festival so we will have a chance to try different foods then. I am also worried about my parents having to stand for Illuminations. They both get tired very easily. Last year we were able to find a great spot to sit and relax and I know there is no seating in the special Illuminations viewing area.
My other option is to have dinner at Le Cellier instead. We all love steak and none of us have ever eaten there. I just hate to cancel a GG experience since we probably won't ever get to do it again and we can always try Le Cellier another time (although not with the grandparents). Also, If I choose Le Cellier it would free up another dining credit for later in the week.
We are only going to Epcot once. I could add another park day so we could do both but Epcot is our least favorite park so I hate to waste a park day just for dinner.
Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated...
