I have a quick questions...How loud is the Illuminations cruise? When my DD was 3 we were going to watch Illuminations and she got really scared at how loud the music and booms were and we had to high tail it out of there. She will be 5 when we visit this time but was still concerned on the level of the sounds. Thanks!

Hi There, we are travelling with two adults and two beautiful little girls ages 5 and 4. If anyone has reservations and is interested in sharing a boat for 2/12, 2/14, 2/15, or 2/17, please contact me. We are more than willing to pay half!! Have a Magical Day!

Thanks, Michelle: MichelleGerard@SafetyInsurance.com

Is something like this available for the Grand Gatherings or Magical Gatherings that are being advertised by Disney. The video seems to imply that they're available, but I don't see particular reference to them in the pamphlets.

Hi MiGerard! Welcome to the DIS, I hope you can visit often. You will have better luck finding a cruise to share on those February dates if you post to our Illuminations Cruise Central for February which you will find HERE

bobbiwoz I'm unsure about magical gatherings, I suppose it would depend on which package you choose.

Welcome to the DIS, faeriekisses2. I'm glad you found us. The Illuminations Cruise Central for November will be posted around the first of September. These boats are reserved 90 days in advance. Good luck getting your reservation.

Any ideas on what the chances are of getting an Illuminations Cruise for July 4th?

Hi DisneyBee. They won't start taking reservations for the July 4th cruise until 90 days out. You have a good chance of booking one.

I have a question for those that have successfully booked Illuminations cruises in the past.

Is this a "call at 7am" kind of thing? Or can you call at 9 or 10am and still get a boat? Planning to try to book for the end of May later this week and wanted to know the drill. Do you call the (407)WDW-PLAY phone number? Or somewhere else? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Last year we were unable to get an illuminations cruise but when they added fireworks at the last minute, we were able to do a Fireworks cruise. It was fun, I'm glad I did it once but I won't bother with it again. I'm thinking an Illuminations cruise will be much more spectacular.

Yes it is a call at 6:57 type of reservation. The first page (first post) of this thread gives instructions on the how, when, who, where of booking the cruise. it is listed under:

How to book an Illuminations Cruise:

If you are unsuccessful, you can always post on the appropriate month's Illuminations thread if anybody has room for the dates you are there. The links to these threads are also in the first post on page 1.

Just a word of encouragement ......

I have called for the last three days to book a cruise for our time period. The first 2 days I was able to get thru immediately to a live person and told them "Specialty Cruise 8 p.m. such a date" (no small talk) and both times the Illuminations cruises were already booked. Today, I was placed on hold and got thru to a live person at 7:05...and a cruise was available! Don't know if it was a cancellation, extra pixie dust or what; and to think I was going to hang up because I was SURE nothing would be available after that long a wait :D

Hey -

Lucked out call this morning and found room on a Illuminations Cruise 7 days from now.

Never say never!!

Congratulations on snagging that reservation, catnik!

Congratulations to you too, EKevinD. Never say never is right! Sometimes those boats sit idle because of a cancellation.

Never give up trying, everyone. Cancellations happen everyday and you have a good chance of getting one of them :)

If anyone has room for 2 adults and 3 children on any cruise on the following dates please let me know:

3/19/04
3/20/04

Thanks!!!

What # do you push 4 or 5?? I called today to try it out and they only offer 4 choices. Plesae provide info ASAP my 90 day is fast approaching. Thanks for you help and send me plenty of pixie dust.

FBZ,

If you get the recording thanking you for calling hit #5 right away.
When the reservationist answers do not make small talk, immediately tell him/her that you want to reserve the 8PM specialty cruise for such and such date.
Good Luck! :sunny:

Are you sure?

I read on another thread somewhere that the options had changed from when this thread first started.

It said the options were: #5 for recreational activities
#2 for boat rservation
#1
and #2

Has anyone else phoned recently who can clarify which it is cause i don't want to be pressing the wrong numbers on the day and i don't really want to call to doublecheck as i'm in the uk.
