How much does the Illuminations Cruise cost? The UG says $120 but I could swear that I read $250 on AllEars or MouseSavers. :rolleyes1

Effective Oct. 1, 2005 the price increased to $250. The UG had already gone to print before they changed the price.

100%+ increase, eh? :teacher: Now that's capatalism at its best. I was looking forward to giving it a try but now they're talking Circ De Soleil money. Are they throwing in an 8x10 glossy to justify the increase (ala Cindy breakfast)?

I know that the cruise was for up to 10 people back in the $120 days.

Please understand that I am in no way intending to belittle the Illuminations Cruise experience, BUT ( :) )... from what I've seen all you do is sit in the boat underneath that bridge between France and the UK. Now, you can stand on the very same bridge for free . So I just don't think I get why I should pay $250 for a place to sit, a can of soda, and a bag of chips. :confused3

Well, I'm doing the "Wishes" cruise and if I can snag a cancelled Illuminations Cruise I will. My reason for it is I will have two 90 year olds with us on a Family trip. I am trying to find things to do that will be easy on their bodies and they can get the full enjoyment. Let's face it, it's probably one of the last trips we'll all take together and I want it to be magical and make it as easy for them as I can. For that reason it is worth the $$$ to me.

How many people can you get onboard for the $250?

10. We had 8, but we divided the cost by 10 to make it easier and our family paid a little extra. If we wouldn't have had other DISers to share with us we would have been paying the whole $250 (+ tip!) by ourselves so we thought that was a fair deal! :)

Good luck getting a boat!

I want to try Illuminations with my family. There's only 4 of us. Is $250 each person or per family?

$250.00 for the boat. It's all yours, 1 person or 10 people.

:worried: TIP!? You mean it's $250 AND we have to tip, too?! :confused3 What percentage of the total are you supposed to tip? I may have to rethink this whole thing....

What # do I call to make reservation? and is this everynight? We might go on our last night @ Disney which is Sept. 3. I hope its not too late.

We tipped 20% ($50) for a grand total of $300. Which really only works out to $30 per person if you have 10 people.

To make the reservations you call 407-WDW-PLAY at 90 days from the day you want the cruise. Call at EXACTLY 7 AM EST because the boats go fast. If you can't get one keep calling back because people cancel sometimes.
