Illuminations Cruise in DEC?

Am I crazy for thinking about doing an Illuminations cruise for are upcoming December trip? I am worried about it being to cool at night on the water. I also thought if we had hot chocolate availble that might help, is that even possible through WDW?

The trip would be for Me, DH, DDad & and DD 8.

I've never been on an Illuminations Cruise, but I can tell you December can be c-o-l-d, or it can be really nice. We were there last December 7, and we could see our breath while we were watching Wishes. It was FREEZING! (Our threshold for cold might be somewhat skewed, though, since we are Floridians! )

Not Crazy!
The boats are equipped with 4 large, warm blankets and yes, you could get Hot Chocolate added to the price of your cruise.

We've gone in January every year for the last 3 years and its never been "unbearably cold"................grab yourself some hot choco or some coffee from Beaches and cream and have yourself a nice cruise.................I would take a sweatshirt along and wear long pants, just to be safe, though because as mention previously it can be unpredictable...............but it shouldn't be any issue........

I went on the cruise last year early December. My hooded sweatshirt and jeans were just right !
The cruise was so wonderful. It was a *HUGE* plus to not exit the park with thousands of other people. It was super relaxing.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I think I will book the Illuminations Cruise and hope for the best. I will have the option to cancel if the weather is REALLY cold that week. I am hoping for a warm Florida Christmas, we are Floridans currently residing in Germany and I will be very sad if we come home to cold weather.

I think we'll be doing this as well. We're only a family of 4 and will probably look to share the cruise with another family.

It was VERY cold when we went last year on the second weekend of December. We were huddled under the blankets on the boat, and had the greatest time ever! I can't wait to do it again!
