Illuminations Cruise Engagment

Hello All!

First I want to say that I don't post much but have been a lurker for many years and I love reading everything that goes on here.

I have come to you for advice. I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend at Disney World in August. We met there while working on the College Program, so I have to propose there

I am trying to decide which cruise would be better for a proposal, Illuminations or Wishes. I will say that I am leaning towards Illumniations because that is the first firework show we watched together by ourselves during the program, so it holds a special place with our relationship. However, I did causally ask what her favorite firework show is and she said it was Wishes by the tiniest, tiny-est of margins (over Illuminations).

But I think Illuminations would be best because I could propose during the show after the opening fireworks and while the globe is making it's way out to the middle of the lagoon.

So, after that long winded description, my question is this: which one do you think is best? Has anyone been on the Wishes or lluminations cruise? Has anyone been on both? What's it like? Anything I should know specifically?

Lastly, How many days out can I reserve the cruise? Is 90 days out still accurate?

IllumiNations Cruise is more "involving" (as you are so very close to the actual show, and are experiencing the magnificent audio system speakers in the park.)

Wishes Cruises are much, much easier to book, however (more boats.)
They are much more distant from the show, itself, and the audio comes from a portable
wireless sound system.
Wishes Cruise boat can be more isolated and dark (think "romantic," if you will) so there's that to consider.
