I've done the IllumaNations cruise three times, once shared with some others from the DIS, the other two times were with friends & family. So, they have heard me talk about how wonderful they are and wanted to take a cruise, but didn't want to do it by themselves. So if you have room for 2, let me know. Thanks in advance! My mates and I (3 adult guys, 27 -40) would love to do an Illuminations cruise on either of those nights. We've never done it and we only just found out about them from a friend of ours.

I have this very nice couple from Cape Cod that work for me * they are heading to WDW on Thursday Sept. 18th and departing on the 25th. I am wondering if Anyone has room to share on a cruise. This is thier 1st time to WDW as a couple, they had been many years ago as kids with thier familes.
I would love to make their trip super special, as they are super special...let me know if you have room.
I Will pay upfront for sharing...Would love to give someone special a speciality cruise for a Welcome to Disney as a gift! (Then they will know why we all love it so much!

Hi folks,

Just a quick followup message for those of you who have never done this Illuminations cruise.

This was such a great way to see Illuminations. My friends and I just got back from our week in Disney and I wanted to let everyone know that this particular activity was a highlight of our trip.

We met LauraMc and her family at the Yacht Club docks on Monday night. Our captain Jody <sp?> was great and knew so much about the areas of Disney that we toured. She took us around the waterways and pointed out neat stuff and shared some cool Disney trivia. Then it was off to the bridge where all the boats park side by side during Illuminations.

Now my friends and I had seen Illuminations from a variety of locations, but none of us had done the cruise.
The one thing we all agreed on is that the "world" float and the underlying message of Illuminations is really difficult to see/hear/understand even in the best land locations.

From the boats, however, we were able, for the first time, to actually see, hear and understand almost everything including most of the video being displayed on the globe. For me, it was the first time that the whole show actually made any sense. Until the cruise, I ahd always just watched the fireworks.

Now, you may have a different experience, but I really wanted to share mine with all of you who weren't sure about taking this cruise. And if you are worried about the show starting late or weather making you miss the show, every boat captain there said they had NEVER missed a show. In short, this was one of the highlights of a perfect week at Disney and I will cherish the memory of it for a long time.

Oh, one more tip...If you you're ever at Disney and you get a last-minute urge to go on this cruise, it's worth the trip to the Yacht Club pier to see if you can join a boat at the last minute. Especially in the off-season like September. During our cruise, there were several open spots on other boats and the folks would have welcomed some folks to share the cost.

I know this is a "needle in a haystack" kind of thing but I believe in exhausting all avenues before throwing in the towel.

We just booked a last minute trip to BCV for next weekend (Friday 9/26, Saturday 9/27). By any chance, does anyone have Breathless on Saturday night 9/27 and want two more aboard?
