Donating to Charities

My parents have been gone 10 years, still get solicitations every single week (plus brochures from Viking cruises, they took one cruise 30 years ago).

oh yeah. the one that got a laugh out of us was mailed to our address in late fil's name, 15+ years after his death. an advertisement inviting him to lunch to tour some 'active senior community' urging him 'it's never to late to start planning' (um, yeah-IT IS ).

My MIL passed a few years ago. She was charitable to a variety of causes. She was the type that if one of those organizations sent her ‘a gift’ she felt absolutely compelled to donate. No doubt these orgs were sharing/trading her name. I couldn’t believe how many obscure ones were sending stuff.
