Illuminations is obviously at 9:00pm (like usual) and Fantasmic is at 10:30pm. What is the fastest possible way to get to DHS from Epcot to make Fantasmic? Is it reasonable to say we would be able to make it?

Walk out of Epcot at the International Gateway and walk to Beach Club. Take an Uber from BC to DHS. It should take maybe 15 to 20 minutes, door to door and cost $4 or $5.

Fastest way is to run (literally) since there is a walking path

But if you watch Illiminations from the bridge between France and UK, export through International Gateway and catch the 1st or 2nd Friendship boat to DHS you will be fine

I'm feeling it would be longer to wait for the bus at both a resort or front of Epcot. I feel like it also would be longer to go to beach club and wait for uber with the parking lot and traffic?

If we walk a normal "NYC pace" will we get there with enough time? I don't want to run (honestly) or "power walk" [I get shin splints]
I don't need "perfect seats" I just want to be able to see it.

I would call for the uber as you're walking to BC so there's not much of a wait. And it doesn't typically more than a minute or two for a car to get into the DHS parking lot and up to the passenger drop off area. But you can walk (it's about a mile from Boardwalk to DHS, so Epcot is another third of a mile maybe?). I don't think it'll get you there much faster than the Uber. But it's worth a shot.

If you walk a normal NYC pace you'll be more than fine. It is roughly a 30 min walk and Illuminations will be done by 9:20 so if you are close to the Internation Gateway you'll have about 45 minutes to walk to DHS. Just wondering what time does DHS close? If park closes at 10 but Fantasmic isn't until 10:30 you have to be through the turnstiles by 10.

It's only a +\- 20 minute walk, so you should be fine. BTW the walkway is along the Boardwalk side of the lake & canal.

This is one option. It takes you down by Yacht and Beach crossing the bridge at Swan/Dolphin then going to Boardwalk and around.

That's the long way, if your walking from epcot to DHS, use the walking bridge (it's the line over the river between 0 and the next circle above). I've also used that walk to grab a boat seat at boardwalk when the boat was packed and it would be awhile to get one. (unless there is a dedicated boat to dhs)

LOL. Speaking as a NY'er I can say that this is a real thing.

NYC pace=in a straight line, no eye contact with anyone, and you must be wearing something black.

Tourist pace=carrying a camera, looking up at the sky/buildings, and slowing down everyone behind you.

True it is the longest route it just seems to be how my body defaults haha. I almost mapped out the other way too.

Tourist pace=stop at the top of every escalator liek everyone else behind you can stop and not run into you (and be mad when they do) and make sure the family is side to side blocking the whole sidewalk.

Disney pace=walk backwards and forwards stopping and turning randomly with no clue how much wider that backpack is making you or how many nyers are trying to figure out what random makes no sense move you and the family who is standing 10 people wide are going to do next so they can get back to actually getting somewhere at nyer pace. If your heading towards someone, make sure you stop walking straight even though there is nobody else around and stand in the other persons way, don't forget to be mad like it wasn't you that did that.

LMAO. Agreed on all points. Especially family side to side across the whole sidewalk.
